The most he can make as a rookie is 850k so it wouldn't be that expensive. And I think the years would be 2 or 3 depending on how old he is. You could tack on some bonuses but it would still be a reasonable contract and more than likely a two-way contract so we can send him down if necessary.

I think that the Wings will remain competitive under the current CBA. The current core team can contend for the cup at least the next three years and given the amount of teams that make the playoffs I would venture to say that we will easily make the playoffs for the next 10 years. I believe the Wings will just restock and reload. As long as we have an owner like Mike Ilitch the Red Wings will win.

What about players like Chelios, Hasek, and Hull...how much of their career do they have to play here to be consider greatest Wings of all time. Because those 3 certainly would qualify and some of the greatest in their respective roles.

Actually I have a copy on VHS, it was a two parter and I am in the second half! I was at the game that Yzerman returned from rehabing his knee against the Kings and they interviewed me, the e-mailed a few weeks later and sent me a copy. My friend Chris is putting it on DVD for me as we speak, when I get that I can burn some copies and send them out!

I could see the Wings resigning Stuart, and trying to land Brunnstrom, as for FA's Sundin if he decides to leave would be an option...Fedorov for CHEAP is another possibility. I'm almost positive Chelios will return. We'll resign the RFA's and I know I may be in the minority but depending on how the playoffs pan out I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility that Hasek comes back for one more season.

Could him staying in Sweden next year mean that Jimmy may be destined for a final year in the GR?

Everyone here seems to be sure that Dom is retiring. I don't think it's impossible that we see a Dom/Ozzie tandum for one more season.

I've had the opportunity to meet pretty much the entire team save for a few of the GR griffs that have been called up. To answer your question, none of them refused me an autograph or a picture but some were far more approchable than others. These are the players that stuck out as really friendly to me, in no order really. Keep in mind I think a lot of this depends on the day and the person's mood just like us! Datsyuk Lidstrom McCarty Sammy Hasek Hudler Babcock Ken Daniels Lebda Franzen Osgood Flip Cleary Kronwall past wings include... Lang, Schneider, and Mowers (They were all really nice) Non Wings... Keith Tachuk he was great! Again really everyone was great...just some of the players make you feel like you are kinda bothering them for an autograph or a picture and others are like "hey hows it going?" and actually talk to you a little bit.

I don't think we would have had a stretch of peewee hockey... LOL J/K ...I bet Eva can do the calculations and tell us exactly what Dom's stats would have been.

I think most people would call that a virtual tie or maybe give Ozzie a slight edge, I don't think most people would say one "clearly outplayed" the other. But the stats are the stats, you are entitled to interperate them however you like.

Or.....the extra ice time would further showcase his short commings instead of his strengths...and this his ice time would be cut again. I think Huds has a lot of skill, unfortunatly for him he's built like a Hobbit. I hope that he's able to overcome this as he matures, but if we can upgrade him in the meantime, well then let someone else wait for him to mature. I guess my point is although I'm not calling for his head, I think he's one of a couple players we should be looking to upgrade.

Just a suggestion...you know in case Yahoo or the NHL decides to troll the boards for their next great idea. How about a playercam/game where the viewer can switch back and fourth...kinda like Picture in Picture! Sounds like a cool idea to me...I would so have goalie cam on!

I am a Hasek fan, and I think he's one of the greatest to ever play the game, still one of the top 5 goalies in the league, but based on their performances this year and the Wings D, I would be comfortable with either goalie starting for us. However the fan in me still prefers and gives the edge to Dom. I love watching him rob someone with his unorthodox style! Nothing greater!!! Lets go get another cup this year! I can't wait for the playoffs to start.

Dom will be fine, he isn't worried about what people will think if he takes a game off and frankly it doesn't matter...all that matters is how healthy he is and how he plays for 16 games beginning in April. And if he's not, he'll let someone know and Ozzie will step in...and be fine.
