I agree that a rock could do a better job as commish but that being said, what can he say. At this point he's already made his bed with VS and he has to sleep in it at least for the next year and a half. He can't very well say that no one watches and he hates the network as a whole.

I was going to start a seperate thread for this but I figured there are already 100 goalie threads going so I'll just say this here. Tonight was the first game where our goalie really had to stand on his head for the win. Both Dom and Ozzie has made crucial saves in certain games but both have had their fair share of help from the Red Wings D. Although no one player wins a game on his own I would say this win should go in the Ozzie column for sure!!! THE GREAT AND POWERFUL OZ HAS SPOKEN!!!

Have you ever watched hockey before??? This is far from the first time a ref made a bad call on a perfectly legal play. I'd venture to say it happens at least once a night. Like you've never said to yourself..."that was a bulls*** call". LMAO Oh and BTW who do you want to "Bring Home the Cup" because it doesn't sound like your a Wings fan. Or maybe you didn't know Hasek is a Red Wing

EUZ, I don't think it's about numbers, I don't really care who finishes with better stats. Osgood has outplayed Hasek so far this year. I am just happy Hasek is back to playing his game. It can only be a good thing for the Wings. You can seach the entire board and you won't find one negative comment from me about Ozzie. I love Ozzie! Dom is my favorite goalie of all time and I still think he can be a top goaltender in this league, but that doesn't mean I don't want Ozzie to do well or the Wings overall. I think people are so fixed on proving their point or trying to create a goalie contraversary that simply doesn't exist. Both of these guys are professionals and teammates.

Many of us in Detroit would like to believe that we are the most intelligent and classiest hockey fans in the NHL. Some us are, but you make a strong case for Ducks fans. I can honestly say a lot of Wings fans are spoiled brats. Our team has been so good for so long that we have to "find" something to ***** about. We don't even realize how lucky to have a team this good each year. Please don't judge all of us Detroit fans but the actions of some.

I just have one question for all the Hasek haters, If we go into the playoffs with him as our number one and he helps our team win a stanley cup will you still cut off your nose to spite your face or will you give credit where credit is due? I couldn't agree more...tell me did Ducks fans have this kind of hatred for one or the other last year when you had a goalie carousel???

What a great game by Dom....I am going down to the game with Munkee on Sunday and we are both looking forward to seeing Hasek in net as we have seen a lot of Ozzy in person this year. Dom delivered the best check of the year so far for those of you that didn't see it, it should make sports center and every amazing hockey plays DVD for the next 10 years. It's great to see Dom back in true form. I also can't wait for Monday's game against the preds to see the wizard in net again. So tired of two and three day breaks between Wings games. We are lucky to have two of the best backstopping our team night in and night out!

Let me clarify, anyone with their head down is fair game to a hit, wether it's by Hasek on a breakaway or Kronwall in the neutral zone. If the opportunity presents it's self...

The threads should probably be merged...pretty much the same people having the same conversation in both... That's what I've been saying all night Matt....It seems some think that Hockey shouldn't be full contact.

That doesn't make any sense at all, Dom wouldn't and hasn't "challenged" "checked" or whatever else you'd liked to call it on a 2 on 1. On a 2 on 1 you play the shooter and like the D take away the pass. I don't agree with your opinion but to this point you've at least made sense with your posts. This one was just silly.

Right on Loo, Hasek didn't let in any goals tonight so they had to have something to complain about right? Hasek the hitman...that's better than Dominator anyway.

Yeah if you would like to play two hand touch hockey... No hitting from behind or cross checks, slashes etc to the head. Other than that, keep your head up it's fair game. Again that play never would have happened if Gaborik wouldn't have been looking down at his feet and the puck.

I never said I didn't play hockey, I just said I wasn't a goalie in Jr's and Lidstrom thought it was pretty funny....go back and watch the game again...he couldn't stop laughing. Your entitled to your opinion but don't speak for hockey players collectively.

When Babcock was asked after the last game about the "dirty" center ice hit on Hudler all he said was that Hudler should have has his head up. If Gaborik had his head up he would have probably scored a goal on a wide open net. Dom's done that dozens of times before and this is the first time he ever flipped a player. I agree it would have been bad for Dom and Gaborik if he had been injured but he wasn't Hockey is a full contact sport and all it takes at any moment is someone to be just slightly out of position a game of inches if you will. Any inch this way you score a goal and inch that way it goes off the post. Goalies get plowed into all the time...their necks could snap they could break a leg an arm...risk of injury is just part of the sport. Intent to injury is the real issue. Dom did not intend to injury Gaborik he intented to stop the puck...

I didn't say anything about any other game but tonights. Any you can search my posts all you like, you won't find me bashing Hasek or Osgood anywhere on here. You may find me thinking he should have played better, which he is doing. Basically your post strengthens my point. People want to have a reason to complain. Plain and simple. Cujo, Manny, Lang, Kronwall, Datsyuk, Fedorov, Lilija, Osgood, Hasek. That's just what I can remember off the top of my head. They have all had their turn as resident wipping boy at one time or another. Watch if Hasek continues to play the way he did the past two games the "wings faithful" will find someone else to complain about. There are a lot of negative people in the world. We have a great team with the best record in the league, we make the playoffs every year and we have at least a shot at the cup every year. Not many teams can say that. At least Lions fans actually have something to ***** about! No didn't play any Hockey as a Jr. Goalie. But how many NHL games have you played? How bout Vezina's? Stanley Cups? So if Dom or any other NHL goalie wants to skate to center ice to stop a puck then maybe you should take note. They are ALL better than you.

What would you do if you had nothing to complain about? I give up...
