He can't be sent down. He has to play himself off of the team if he is not to make the spot.

This thread makes me laugh.... First someone posted that it was interesting that Kronwall was a core player.... and then everyone freaked out like that person had said Kronwall was horrible or something. Then out of nowhere, the Kronwall arguement turned into an enforcer arguement. Ha ha. Wow. This thread gave me a good chuckle. No bashing to anyone who said anything. I enjoyed reading it, just interesting how it took such sudden turns. It seems like this thread became the, I have something to say so I'm going to say it here thread.

It wont be hard to send Quincey down at all... he can clear waivers, and they plan on playing him in GR this year anyways. Direct quote from Holland saying there's no point in having him play seventh d, they want him to have playing time. If you are referring to Meech, who cannot be sent down, then I see your point. But consider what happened last playoffs: We lost Kronner and Schneids. I would rather have a logjam and have to carry an extra d man or something, than have a few d go down and not have stellar replacements. Lids-Markov Rafalski-Kronner Chelios-Lebda/Lilja Meech As Bab's has said, "You can never have too many D." P.S. And yes agreed with statement about him not being worth what he wants. Hence saying, I hope HE comes to terms. Not us.

I very much hope Markov comes to terms....
-
Good point... but: See Kronwall.

Out of context this is well, well said. Happens far to often!

Easy... the third friend was Derek Boogard. That or they attended Boogard fight school.

Wasn't he supposed to make a decision last week? What do you think the reason is? This isn't the first season he has waited for a very long time to make a decision. Will he come back? Will he not? Why is he taking so long?
-
I know this has been talked about time and time again, but last season proved you can never have too deep of a defense. Yeah we may be 'set' on defense, but remember when Schneids and Kronner went down, and we went from being an amazing defense to a good defense. That is always a possibility so I say sign him up! But he is taking for ever! I don't know if that means good things for the wings or not, but I figure if teams really wanted him shouldn't he have signed by now? What could possibly be going on, and from what teams, and why no movement?
-
I would be very, very satisfied with that defense.
-
Whats the deal with Markov has anyone heard yet? I thought he was supposed to make a decision by last week....
-
I always think of that goal where Zetts faked like he was going behind the net, and passed back for Dats to hammer it home.
-
If this is the case, I see the redwings struggling to maintain their dominance in the regular season after this year.

Because none of us saw this coming.... Bail on the pens, and then find a way back in without owning up to it. Sorry, I'm a little bitter. Link

Any publicity is good publicity?

External things could happen. I definitely don't wish anything disasterous for him, but look at Fisch (not suggesting he was greedy or anything). But stuff can happen outside of the hockey world to humble you. Including self awareness. Yes, I think you are right on the spot, that it is impractical. But it is possible.
-
Agreed that humility sometimes needs to be hard. But I feel like, even if the chance is slim, that something changes inside of him. Perhaps it's not practical at all. But I gotta have hope for the dude. It sucks to see him doing some of the stuff he does. I don't want that for him, you know?
-
I'm not attacking your point of view at all, so please dont' think that, but I wanted to quote this to share my opinion. I honestly think that Yashin has some issues that he needs to work out. I think that his priorities are a little off right now. But my wish isn't for him to dissapear and never come back. My wish isn't for him to retire. My wish, whether practical or not, is for him to go over there and learn some humility and come back to the NHL and be both a great player and a great man. I just can't wish the worst for anyone. So in Yashin's case... I hope he grows and that Russia is an amazing experience for who he is.
-
Yeah but he mentioned him like he was playing for us.

I got over being shy and flat out asked him if he's Norton... I guess time will tell. Check back!
-
I'm just playin fool. If you looked around you'd see that I am not arguing anything about Norton. So as far as your... I post cold hard facts and all you come back with is, "ya he's norton." That falls on deaf ears. Because I'm the only one writing that, and I'm not arguing with you. Yes, it is a great opportunity for you to pretend like you are winning this argument... but you should probably address the people who are actually contesting you. Thank you.... Are you Norton?
-
Yep! He's Norton. It's official.
