Bulls***. How is Burke going to sit there and talk about "reactionary moves?!" Everyone else has to react to him now. The shenanigans that he pulled with Niedermeyer and Selanne is bigger than ANY trade that will be made at the deadline; of course he's going to sit comfortably on tv critiquing deadline strategy- he doesn't need to do anything but admire his own work. A "reactionary move" would be the worst thing that Detroit could do...to his team.

Easy for Burke to say. Have you seen his roster? He didn't need to react to anything because he brought Niedermeyer and Selanne back halfway through the season. His team is good-to-go, the Wings, well...we'll see.

What do you guys think? I hear that Chicago is unhappy with him, and I think that he could fit pretty well into our lineup to add some scoring depth.

Yeah, exactly. Lebda isn't up to par as a #1-2 defenseman, so we should trade him. Forget that he does a good job in his normal role; he's not as good as Rafalski/Lidstrom (two all-world players,) so we should just dump him! TRADE EVERYONE, KENNY! LGW'ers WANT A TRADE!!! TRADE YOURSELF, TOO!

You people are a bunch of retards. Lebda is playing a role that he isn't meant to be playing. He's a 4-6 defenseman, and he's playing as a 1st/2nd pair dman right now. When you put a guy with limited ability in so many key situations, he's going to make mistakes. Lebda is no Rafalski/Lidstrom/Kronwall, so stop expecting him to be. As for Samuelsson, everyone here knows what he is: A soft sniper that doesn't do much of anything else. Stop acting so surprised.

When the Wings were getting PWND 3-0 in the first period, where was he? He was on the ice, but wasn't doing any of the things that he should have been to fire up his team. Same with today against the Stars- he looks like Samuelsson, but less effective out there- if that's even possible. At least Sammy has a shot. Send Downey somewhere, as long as it's not on to the ice.

I would rather not have him on the ice. I'd rather have someone out there that can put the puck in the net, but when he is out there, he should be serving his purpose. Downey/Lap. was less than a fair fight, it's about time he beat someone and gave up the role of human punching bag.

Ilitch/Holland/Babcock would never let McCarty take a shift on the Wings' team if he didn't have anything to contribute, which he doesn't, so quit with the conspiracy theories.

Come on guys/gals. I love Dmac as a person, but he's 35 now, and wouldn't really bring anything to this team that we don't already have. I'd hate to see Kopecky/Franzen, or even drake get their lineup spot taken away to insert McCarty (even though that would never happen in the first place.)

If you're going to buy them, I'd reccommend just thinking about it a little more first. I am not renewing this year because it's very hard to get rid of them when you can't make it. Especially with so many empty seats, people can just go online and buy tix in the lower bowl for a single game...If you have someone that is buying multiple games, it will help this problem out- but there were quite a few games that I just had to eat this year. Playing Columbus/Chicago 348 times a year doesn't help- good luck getting rid of those games..It sucks when you have to pay $108/game to go watch the blue jackets from the upper deck 40 times a year.
