bottom line: this is the 2nd time in these playoffs that pronger cheap-shotted an opposing player with a hit that could have ended their season. suspend him.

On one hand, I agree with you- I wouldn't mind seeing players be able to kick the puck in; it would be exciting..but yeah, it's not soccer...and if you allowed kicks, why not just allow throws and letting players bat the puck into the net with their hands.

The chick that sang the American natl' anthem in game 2 wasn't bad, but the other 3 were absolutely horrendus...Stills sounded like crap, whoever the canadian jazz singer was sounded like garbage...you'd think in SoCal, they'd be able to find someone better than these old washups to sing the anthems..yikes.

The officials are controlling gameplay yet again. When will they LET THEM PLAY? Here's an idea for the NHL...each team gets a 10 min PP per period, at least then the fans and players will know what to expect. I wish they would have formed the WHA so we'd have some sort of alternative to this BS.

Not true. The refs AREN'T calling the penalties that they were "cracking down" on. There was one interference call tonight, and that's been the trend throughout most of the playoffs. All of the calls are slashes, elbows, crosschecks; Heatley even went on during the intermission and said that it was a clutching and grabbing type of game tonight, but that the no-calls were consistent, so it was no big deal. IT IS A BIG DEAL. Players (and fans) don't know what a penalty is from night to night, but they definitely DO know what it feels like to play half of the game on special teams. to the NHL.

It wouldn't matter if Hasek/Osgood were FA's, or had a year left on their contracts, people here would rather see Detroit go after a big money FA than bring up Howard. Sooner or later it will happen...hopefully sooner.

Why is that? Because they cut down the amount of material that opposing players can grab on to, are lighter weight, don't absorb sweat and weigh players down, or because traditionalists don't want the Wings to have a new uniform?

Among all of the "Congrats, Wings! Thanks for a great season!" threads, I see nothing congratulating the team that brought this "great sesaon" to an end. Anaheim DID deserve this series- they won four games, Detroit won two. Giguere played a great series, and Anaheim virtually eliminated Z and Dats on the scoresheet (in ANH) until Game 6, when it was too late anyway. THIS is what we should be using our congratulations on, not another series blown by our boys in red and white. I won't be cheering for Anaheim in the finals, but certainly commend them for playing a great series against the Wings.

Yeah, just because I don't blindly congratulate the wings on another failed playoff run, I'm not a fan! The Ducks are cheaters? Listen to you people. Detroit was what, 0/10 on the PP in games 5 + 6 until the 3rd period tonight (Including 3 5 on 3's). Did ANH's PK cheat too?
