The East is a much weaker conference than the West. If the Pens were in the West, they would have finished below SJ/Anaheim/Detroit for sure, and maybe another team or two. Don't compare apples to oranges.
-
Why even argue with this turd until his team actually wins a championship in the modern-era?
-
Yeah, and I'll grow wings and fly to the moon. Let's not talk about hypotheticals here, your team, and you, are a joke. Leave the Stanley-Cup-Winning to the big boys.
-
Jeez, if you're that angry now, I can't imagine how worked up you'll be after losing to the Wings two years in a row.
-
The best part about it is that it's not even with the same team. At least he didn't get swept like last year..
-
$10,000 is nothing when you compare it to being the Red Wings' b*tch year after year.
-
That's what happens when your team gets manhandled the first year that you start watching them.

Haha yeah, I'm sure Babcock is banging down the door to go from Detroit to that train wreck.

That's exactly what I'm saying. He's driven to the net in all of the rest of the games, just like he did today. He played the same defensively in the rest of the games as he did today. The difference IS that he scored two goals. If you keep playing well, you're going to get rewarded eventually; it was only a matter of time.

With all of the people that judge players specifically on how many times their name lands on the scoresheet floating around here, I thought I'd inject a bit of common sense, and hope that other clear-thinking individuals chime in, too. Hossa is playing AWESOME defensively. He's always skating as hard back into his own end as he does when he has/is chasing the puck. He's going to become even more important in games 3 and 4 with the Hawks having last change. He's getting his chances, and is making an impact in other ways. He carried this team on his back at points this season, and now that we're scoring gritty "PLAYOFF" type goals from alternate sources in the PLAYOFFS, people are getting on his case. I'll take scoring depth and wins over star players scoring and a silent-rest-of-the-lineup anyday.

2 games for awesomeness.

If THAT's not motivation enough, I don't know what is.

Brian Campbell Appreciation Thread
KronwallCRUNCH replied to Heroes of Hockeytown's topic in General
I'm so glad Chicago payed Campbell as much as they did instead of using that money on more effective players. -
This is how it always starts....open the floodgates.

He's still playing well defensively. Anyone with ANY common sense knew that the goals would come. Unfortunately, there isn't a ton of that around here.

I hope we score a couple more. Just to crush their hopes/dreams/fans completely. -

DETROIT SUCKS!! -
Welp, this is where having Raffi really works to our advantage. It's never a bad thing to have two Norris-quality Dmen on your roster. I'm looking for Kronwall and Ericsson to step it up here.

You should wear a cloak and change your username to "The Guardian."

Ovie is the most explosive and dynamic player in the NHL. Add that in with his physical play, and he's nearly untouchable. Best player in the show.

Here are my ideal lines McCarty-Helm-Downey Maltby-Draper-Leino Holmstrom-Abdelkader-Samuelsson Hossa by himself to punish him Kindl-Ericsson Chelios-Lebda Stuart-Chelios The rest of them can all sit

Ah, back to normal. Losing OT games like always.
