Well, Dan Cleary is outscoring everyone in this series. Trade them all. Isn't the best defensive player on his own line? That's not a loaded argument at all...
-
Yeah, because a Rafalski wrister from the blue line would have went in without Homer in front.. Again, some people just can't get past the scoresheet.
-
You're right..he is paid to score goals, and he did; 40 of them. We're also paying him to win a Cup, and that's what he's helping us (hopefully) do. I agree with you, he'll start burying pucks eventually, but the people that are complaining about him not scoring now is a little out of hand. We're winning, and getting goals from everywhere; some people still think that the Wings should score 9+ goals per game, though.

Don't compare Hossa to Samuelsson. Awesome goals by Sammy, but come on. On a related note, Hossa is playing AMAZING defensively; how about a thread about that?

WCF GAME 2 GDT: Blackhawks 2 at Red Wings 3 (OT)

Please God, let us win in OT for once. -
I'm sure there will be forum Nazi's that complain about another Osgood thread (whaaa,) but they should all be in bed in their parents' basements now anyway. So, I've noticed Ozzie bashers saying that he's benefited from great teams in front of him. When you look at the history of the NHL, what elite goalie hasn't? Brodeur, Roy (MTL and COL,) Fuhr, Sawchuk, Hasek, etc. all had some pretty damn good teams in front of them. In the same sentence, these people ask for Luongo, Kipper, and Nabakov, but as flashy as they are, what have they ever won? I can't really think of a goalie off-hand that dominated their way to a Cup on a bad team, but maybe it has happened before. A good team can't win a Cup without a good goalie, and a good goalie can't win a Cup without a good team.

The best "insults" you've heard against the Wings
KronwallCRUNCH replied to Doc Holiday's topic in General
"Detroit Sucks" is by far the greatest and most creative insult ever, hands down. -
I NEVER thought I'd see the day..

Like Datsyuk, Hossa is still getting chances, just not converting. We're scoring goals and getting offense from other sources; what's the problem?
-
You're not going to hear me complain about him scoring goals! The dude went from looking like a baby deer on skates to a clutch performer seemingly overnight.
-
You mean the one that's full of comments regarding Detroit's economy, crime rate, and everything else that has nothing to do with hockey...or the fans of it? What a bunch of d-bags. I can't wait until we crush all of your hopes and dreams of advancing to the finals.

I will lose major respect for Chicago fans if
KronwallCRUNCH replied to HockeytownRules19's topic in General
Who cares what Chicago fans chant? They'll be hearing "WE WANT THE CUP" @ the Joe when we're getting close to finishing them off. -
Let's not judge Hossa on a single round of the playoffs. We all saw what he can do last postseason.
-
In game 7, the Pens didn't (officially) commit a single infraction (according to the officials,) while the Caps had four. Thoughts?
-
I'm not saying that it was "fixed," but I do find it suspect. Judging by the way that the Bruins/Canes, and Wings/Ducks series is being called, Pittsburgh didn't play a 'perfect' game. If you want to say the game was well officiated, fine, I don't have any arguments if that's how the refs are going to call every game in every series, but it isn't. Tonight we'll see 4+ penalties called that weren't called last night. Truth.
-
You're kidding, right? You don't want a d-man that would probably be a Norris candidate on a lot of other teams back in the lineup? Have you seen the difference on the PP and breakout without him?
-
Has anyone heard anything yet? I know last night that they said it was doubtful, but has anything official come out?
-
WHAT!? Two PPs that we didn't score on. He cost us the first Anaheim goal.
-
Too bad the WHA never panned out.
-
Amazing that one official that's out of position can singlehandedly end a game prematurely.

All I have to say is: Wow.
