Cherry sucks. Ovechkin is being singled out because he scores MORE than anyone else. There are plenty of players around the league that celebrate the same way when they score- oh, and they're Canadian. Nobody has "ripped him in half" yet, and I doubt they will; usually, it's the other way around. I'm actually surprised that Cherry didn't make fun of Hossa for fighting (unless I just missed it.) I remember a few weeks ago, another European player got in a fight, and he mocked him for the way he was swinging. If Jason Spezza or Stamkos got in a fight, no matter how ugly it was, he'd praise them for being "tough." The guy is an absolute joke, and thankfully, nobody outside of Canada gives a s**t what he says. Thank god he'll either be off of tv/committed to a psych. ward sooner than later.

Parise is awesome, but if you're looking at all-around ability, I'd much rather have Datsyuk/Z/Hossa (if that's the big 3 you're talking about)

So you're mad about people getting to the rink late? Maybe you should write their boss a permission slip telling them that they can leave early to make it in time. As far as getting up during play, do you think it could have something to do with inferior amenities? Bathrooms with one door that's used for entry AND exit? If you need to piss, and don't want to wait in line the entire intermission, you have to get up during play at some point. Whining about people that have no clue where their seats are? You're a whiney *****. Sounds like you need to stop worrying about what other people are doing, shut up, and enjoy the game.

Yeah, maybe a plaque or a mural or something on a wall, but retiring their numbers would never happen. These guys aren't anywhere close to being the GREATEST players to play in a Detroit jersey, and retired numbers are for those types of guys. You can't just retire a guy's number because he's a great teammate or fan favorite and ignore their stats. This type of thing is for the elite of the elite, not an entire 3rd/4th line.

What's so disappointing about Filppula? He's a great defensive player and asset to the team. When he chips on offensively, it's a bonus. Look at the roster, not everyone on this team is going to finish with 60+ pts.
