Is in bad that I'm getting a little tired of this complaint? This is just so old, every year this argument gets pulled off the shelf and dusted off to be put back on display again. The wings are a high skill team and rely on puck position to get the job done. Since there aren't that many high skill enforcers out there to be had, it would not behoove them to just put a guy in there to knock heads together. Do you really think that what happened to Kronwall Saturday night wouldn't have happened because Georges Laraque was afraid that he might get into a sloppy wrestling match with a guy that MIGHT land one or two good punches? It was a dirty hit to be sure but it would have happened no matter who was on the ice when Laraque got back on the ice.

I agree..and I generally like Daniels but it does get a bit annoying. And just for the record anything that comes out of Mickey Redmond's mouth is pure gold IMO.

I'm getting a little sick of hearing about the Joe's "Active Boards". Like Ilich makes sure that Al S. goes down to the boards and coats them with Flubber before every game. Like there aren't eccentricities of other arenas that may or may-not effect the game. Let the boards go we get it.

I would have to say 5 star. I'm hoping to be able to see it in person this year.

While I would agree they were better I would also have to say that the other un-tangible was there for us last night and that was "luck". Especially in the First Period the Near goal with Ozzie flopping around in the crease and the puck just gliding on the line and hitting the post, That was extremely lucky and in the first few games would have probably when in. Then a little later on in the period Ozzie was clearly beat and the shot hits the crossbar. Those goals go in and we would see a different game. Last nights game is an example of why we as Red Wing fans need to calm down and let them play. They can do everything in there power to win and some times it just comes down to the hockey gods letting the puck bounce your way. All that being said it was a good game to watch and Ozzie played really well in the second and third period, now can he keep it up. Ozzie is a great goal tender but has always suffered from lack of consistency, during the season that is. He's pretty damn good in the post season.

You should wait because that's hockey. If that hit was just an ordinary hit and the other team gets the puck, they now have the opportunity to make a play. With a SPECTACULAR hit like that, the other team now has the opportunity to make a play one man up witch is the way it should be. IMO whoever goes after the hitter immediately after a big hit should go to the box for delay of game and the other team gets a power play. To me by letting the scrum after the hit happen you are penalizing a good clean play which is wrong in any sport.

With some recient talk of getting a new stadium, FINALLY, for the Wings. What are your Thoughts, I've always wanted to see a throwback style stadium looking simular to the Old Olympia. I even found a web sight that had some basic drawings on how it could look thought I would like to see it a little more modern I think he's on the right track. What does everybody think about trying to sign Mike Cammalleri? I think he's a talented guy with local ties and would proably give the wings a home town discount. With Hossa leaving it frees up some cap space that we could sign him & Hudler and then go get another D-Man as well. Just a thought, don't kill me if this has already been brought up or if I'm way off base. Edit: Cammalleri made 3.6 Million last year & after looking at is +/- I think I answered my own question, he has a -30 in 6 years of hockey.
