We go through this every summer. People saying Kenny is the worst GM ever, yet we always seem to be one of the elite teams in the league. Last summer people were saying it's back to "The Dead Things" and we made it to the West Finals. The summer isn't over yet, and it's time to give some of our youth the big chance. Filppula wasn't even supposed to be a regular last year but he played most of the year due to injuries, and he was one of our hardest working players in the playoffs. Our D looks great, we have a solid line 1, and we still have some great grinders. I do think we need one more additional forward for line 2. Go Wings Go

Good call there. We seem to forget how to play well against the Western Canadian Clubs and San Jose, but every other playoff team right now, or Colorado (if they slip in) we can beat and round 2 is definitly not out of the question. The good thing too is even playing Calgary we split the season series and we would have home ice over them anyway. We definitly need to stay positive.

Ooops I hit the reply button too fast there. I think we will be fine when Zetts and Big Bert come back, they are both playoff players. I just fear us playing San Jose in round 1.

I'd take Dumont over Carter in a heartbeat, but if we can't get Dumont and the price is right for Carter then sign him. Kenny just needs to sign somebody who can put pucks in the net already and get this show on the road.

Agreed they will likely make the playoffs with the good defense, and the arrival of Savard will help others on his line play better. I like the young promising goaltending they have too. No cup or Fianls for them though.

Ya I can see Philly wanting to combine veteran Swedish players. I think in the short term Philly could benefit, but in a few years time Gagne will be more of a leader and in his prime.
