I'm nowhere near nervous, but it is troubling that Ozzie isn't looking real comfortable out there, and that the D is playing really loose.

I still think Chara takes it. Green has great offensive numbers, but his D aint that good. Nick is gonna take a hit due to the boredom factor this year (his numbers weren't all that awesome as in years past).

We really need to change the terminology. It was NOT a punch. The closest approximation is a brief facewash, as he puts the glove on the mask, and then pushes off. He doesn't haul back and hit him. And if you're a goaltender that has made it to the NHL, chances are, a tap on the back of the head with a stick or a brief facewash is not going to cause a severe injury. They get paid to play the game, not just stop pucks. Sometimes getting hit or mixing it up is part of the game. Deal with it.

That's why the Wings got rid of him. They didn't want to deal with his antics. However, LA did, and the Rangers did and do, hell, even the Stars wanted him, till he got suspended for some stupid crap that had no bearing on the game. These are grown men playing a game. Lighten up. Noone got hurt, nor was there ever any danger of anyone getting hurt. The guy got a facewash over a cage. Life goes on.

OH NOES!! An agitator is agitating!!! So where is your dislike for Maltby? He epitomizes the cheap pest. He'll facewash, and take gloved swings at people in scrums and then skate away. But I don't recall you posting "I don't like Maltby!!!!111ONEELEVENTY" Avery does what he does. He is successful at stirring the pot. It didn't work this game, but what are the chances someone's gonna go after him in the next game, and take a penalty they don't need to? How much focus is going to be directed at Avery, and not at playing the game?

It wasn't a fight at all. It was a facewash to a cage. No harm was done, noone got hurt. The job of an agitator is to get people off their game. Going after the goalie like that pisses off more than the goalie. Avery is doing what Avery is paid to do. If noone wanted what he was selling, he wouldn't have a job in the league. Like I've said before, he has to be the best agitator ever, since he's pissing off fans of other teams.
