The Dallas affiliate is moving to the Austin area (Cedar Park to be exact) into a brand new arena being built. It's going to be a completely new team, called the Texas Stars. Speaking of an expansion team, which this team will be, how does the draft and such work? Since most of the AHL teams are populated with NHL team property, is there an expansion draft of sorts, or how will that work? I'm just really excited to be getting an AHL team, and can't wait for the 09-10 season.

I think that Stuart is gonna walk, and that Lilja will probably be gone too. That would seem to mean Erricson and Meech/Quincey come up? I don't see much D out there that can help replace our big, stay at home guys (the only two on the team).

It's nice to have so much depth, that getting rid of at least 2 HOFers is something most people on the board really want to happen. I think Drake retires, Hasek might retire, but won't be back in the D if he doesn't, and Chelly comes back again. He's said he wants to play till he's 50, and his conditioning is superb, so he might be able to do it.

Dupuis has no right to ice occupied by another player. Helm was already in that spot, it is up to Dupuis to go around him. Hitting someone away from the puck, regardless of whether or not it was a knee on knee is interference. Couple that with the fact that you can see Dupuis spot Helm, and skate directly into him, and it's obvious that there should have been a call there. Maybe Crosby will be the victim of something like that happening, and we can all go to the Pens board, and see them saying "Draper had a clear line to the puck, and it was Crosby's responsibility to get out of the way. Clean play all around, just sucks Crosby got hurt."

Yet if it happened to Pedro, the Wings player would have gotten a game misconduct for intent to injure the face of the league.
