I thought Kopecky played pretty good tonight to, Also did they play Grigs in the second or third at all, because I don't recall hearing his name. I came in half way through the second though.

I am not to impressed I think he makes some bad decsions but in his defense when he gets anything going he gets injured, so I'd say the jury is still out

Besides they could have had Peca this off season and decided not to I really don't think they would try to aquire him later, although I wouldn't hate the trade. Sundin would be a nice fit

Just think how everyone complained about Hasek and in turn look how he played for us, he went from basement prices to deserving a nice raise, whos to say Drake isn't capable of the same thing.

Not that I don't like the sound of that second line but man it would seem pretty unproven, plus didn't they say the euros were being split again? Grig is massive for his height think about Bert was what 6'3 235 this guy is 5 inch's shorter and only 25 pounds lighter. I really hope he hasn't been hyped up to the point that he just won't be able to succeed even the coachs from what I have read thought about top 6 minutes before this guy has stepped on the ice. I don't get why everyone is hating on Maltby so bad, he has really cost us anything, he does a good job on the penalty kill and is a great veteran/teacher. For a 4th liner or grind liner I can't think of many better to teach the youth then Maltby/ Drake type players, through in some Chelios we are gonna have a lot of tough guys soon. Ryno, Kindl, Ericsson. Sorry just got a little off subject, excited for the season, anyway I think Maltby is still worth keeping around as long as he knows his role and is willing to do whatever he has to do to better the team; and I believe Maltby is willing to do that.

Does anyone remember that Yzerman story about the little girl being scared to ask for his autograph, in like the early 90s. Well the girl wouldn't ask for one and her friends were screaming in the background, Yzerman skates up to her all serious looking, cracks a smile then hands her his stick. Also the Draper story was sad but great, about the girl with cancer, I'll try to find it.

I hope we get one of our larger young players to make the big team. Kindl, Ryno, Ericcson, hopefully that Magnuson kid is good enough to make our lower clubs and in a few years have him up to. It would just be nice to see some size and mean streaks. But I think Huds is really gonna be great, I under estimated him last year and kind of realized he played great for the time he had.
