wasn't the NHL more popular then NBA in the early 2000's? I would like it on ESPN just because I would be able to hear about whats going on in the NHL during the off season more, plus it would spark more intrest which would be great. But i really wouldn't want to screw over VS because they have done good.

its really not like any of the teams are hurting for fans, it seems that Detroit fans are pretty die hard about all the sports almost equally, but in the general fans eyes lions, tigers, pistons, wings; only because all the others have much more publicity. my question about the physical aspect is, were we playing so tough because we picked up Bertuzzi? I mean we sort of came out a lot tougher with him around, although we are capable of it with out him. He was out of the line up for so long and didn't really do very much in it. But was that just mentality thing? If so I hope they realized they don't need him and hell Dallas Drake may not be the greatest but you sure as hell know he has your back.

I really think it would be cool if we keep Danny and just routate our depth, Meech, Ericson, Kindl, Quincy, and Lilja all going back and forth all though I know Meech can't go back down, but something along those lines to really help our youth prosper

I think its smart to break up the D-Z-H line and only use them together incase of an emergency, that way we can divide up scoring and teams wouldn't be as prepared when they are put together.

it makes sense, think about how much we used Grand Rapids because of injury, we need to make sure they are stocked with good back ups, and young developing talent that will eventually crack the line up. We also are waiting for this huge theme of over spending is over so that teams can realize the places they put themselves, then the wings will have there picks.

Arron Asham, would be a great addition, and yes size=scoring. 1 way is that goonish, makes it so people like Zette and Hols not get hurt by dirty hits. 2 they create more space down low so dats can gain control. 3 the fact that the wings looked insane after they found out they signed big Bert, and it lead into the playoffs. It gives them energy, like Ben Wallace used to do for the Pistons

exactly, get us 1 mcarty or even a young probert and we are set for the cup, we have great stars, good young players, and great role players we are just missing 1 or 2 key things, and I don't believe a big "star" is what it is. Honestly I really don't think of anyone I would even want to get rid of or bench on Detroit

Listen I hate the preds just as much as everyone else on this board, but why would anyone want to see them go. They are exactly what we need, we have the Wings who are the cleanest team in hockey and in the same division the Preds who are arguably the dirtest. Its nice to have a complete oppsite that we hate, its like a the good vs bad, yes if they move things might be the exact same, but who cares. Let them just stay there it really doesn't hurt us in anyway, so I was just curious why everyone seems to want them to move?
