Mrazek is going to be the back up in about 2 years, then once Howards contract start coming to an end, they will probably split until Mrazek slowly takes over.

While I agree we do have some pieces missing, I will say the Wings are in a situation I have never seen a pro sports team in before. We have mutliple players in the minors who can contribute more so then active players on the roster. Other teams have had maybe a player, but we have about 3 or 4 in the minors who realistically could be better than 3 or 4 current roster players, it will be interesting to see once the rosters expand.

But all things don't remain equal to the year Quincey was traded (granted still over payment)

We don't know if there isn't a player available, it doesn't always have to be an up coming FA. But yeah we probably won't make a move (I at least hope we get rid of some players)

I'm glad we didn't make the trade. I know people are upset that we have been quite once again, but if there were ever a year to be that way it would be this year. You don't make a move just to make a move.

I feel like at this point Iginla is living off of name alone. But I've never been a Iggy fan.

I haven't had a chance to see Pitt this year. But with additions they are going to be physically dominate, however Murray and Morrow are slow as hell, and Iggy is average speed at best. Plus Morrow/Iggy play the time of game that destroys a body early (which is why I don't want Clowe) and it seems like they are reflecting it. Also I know the Sharks wanted to get rid of Murray for about a year and a half. Either way they are a team that will be fun to watch. edit: When is the last time a team loaded up near the deadline and won the cup?

Edm sucks, they are always pimped as though they are going to do something, but like CO they will be picking in the top 10 AGAIN. I'm pretty sure FL has had more recent success then EDM.

WTF is the hate on Brunner for? They scratch Nyquist, Brunner, Tatar? Yet they kept Cleary, Franzen, Abby (yes I know he had a hatty but until that point?)...

I don't mind him on the 3rd last night because he did look good. What I did hate was Mickey Redmond talking s*** about his lack of goals, then basically telling everyone Datsyuk has a hard on to play with Abby and Cleary.

Anytime Abby or Cleary touch the puck I ponder what it would be like to have an actual NHL player in their place

It would be nice if we could get rid of a few forwards and defense for some picks: Cleary/Abby/Eaves/Miller/Coli/White/Huskins, any combo 2 offense/2 defense I understand the need for depth, if we gutted our team completely and had Nyquist/Sheehan etc up here then what happens if they get injured? We would be totally boned. But at a certain point we have to let the better talent show.
