Bring in Chris Stewart!!!!! He was a healthy scratch the other day for S.L. and is a RFA, we can probably get him on the cheap since his fall from grace. This dude a beast and everything we want in Detroit, that would be step 1.

basically, the entire point of acquiring good players is to negate any sort of possible luck required. Like I've seen posted a few times already though, at least we don't have to hear people crying about refs or injuries this year. I know Helm set us back, but he certainly wouldn't have netted us 2 goals a game, when overrated pieces of s*** like Franzen can't get 2 goals in a ******* series. are you kidding me? Howard was so far out of the crease on that 2nd goal I thought he was trying to make the same hit Schenn made in the Philly series. At the end of the day though Howard is only paid $3 mill and plays well for his price tag, it's Hollands fault for not surrounding him with the protection from the remaining cap space made. Holland should have 1 more year to try to unf*** this team, and if it doesn't work his ass should be looking to go GM somewhere like Toronto. Personally I don't even think Babcock likes this team from how he was answering questions regarding the Weber/Z incident, then practically giving Weber a blow job in an interview a few days later

The real s***ty thing isn't knowing Holland is going to do a damn thing, except sign some tired ass over the hill 3/4 liner and try to present him as the solution to our scoring touch(ala Modano) and probably some ex Red Wing (Sammy/WIlliams/Quincey) then give us some buls*** excuse about how he likes this team. f*** him for believing in his own hype! The asking price was too? ***** you supposedly have a top 10 prospect pool and $6 million dollars, we won't see 95% of these prospects for another 10 years, so shut the f*** up and have the balls to make a ******* move for someone we can see.

agreed, I think Howard is a good goalie, however not a GREAT goalie. He will maybe steal you one every once in a while, but for the most part is merely solid, and he is paid as such. But since he is paid so low, you are supposed to protect him by buying a great defense to build around him. Of course Holland is to focused on his golf game to give a s*** about actually improving this team.

sorry my friend, but I feel as if this way of thinking is exactly what put us in the position in the 1st place. They need to stop blaming things on bounces or injures and start looking the ability to win without having to rely on excuses, you know picking players to improve there time, like the other teams in there damn division decided to do.

yeah I feel like next year will be Lids last, the salary cap increases and we lose some contracts. So they will probably do a basically one last hoo rah type situation.

I think Babs basically doesn't like the way the team has been put together himself. The reason i say that is when asked after the Weber incident he would just say we don't have those type of players to do anything about it. I feel like if it really didn't bother him he would have worded the situation differently. One thing about Babs I hate yet have learned is that he never comes out and just speaks his damn mind, he never calls out refs, or other teams etc etc etc, but he always will phrase something in order to get a certain point across. I was at the game, the atmosphere before hand was amazing, the intro seriously was just inspiring, I'll try to upload it if I get a chance. The Wings played a terrible 1st and half of 2nd, although Datsyuk looks like he is finally waking up. Z is getting brutalized but playing amazing hockey, I really think Ericsson has looked good since he's been back, and Cleary has been a different player since the playoffs started. But it's obvious by watching this series and other series around the league we have absolutely NO physicality. If some s*** went down like in the Pitt/Pen, Blues/SJ, or NY/OTT we will physically be destroyed. I'm so sick and tired of watching Datsyuk/Howard/Z having to defend themselves, then seeing Carnker going out there and busting someones face up for some s*** that happened last game (imagine if that was Weber he did that too! ). Also Flip has to be the biggest disappointment this playoffs, he can't control the puck for s***, and I guess maybe I'd thought he'd even improve more. Plus hate to say it but Lids really hasn't been Odin since coming back from injury as well. Lastly, it is pretty obvious Shanny has no ******* clue what he is doing, suspends players for high elbows when the play is right next to them (which is still dirty and yes worthy of a suspension). But then to let Carkner get 1 game for a complete beating, and Weber for an obvious intended headshot not related to hockey is a ******* joke. I'm sure Asham may get 1 game too, and Neal won't get s*** because nobody was injured. Seriously Shanny (one of my fav. players) you either sold the f*** out or are completely over matched, I wouldn't care if they called it play off hockey but how about some ******* consistency. OH and someone was receiving CPR behind the Preds net, wtf was going on over there??

Ericsson has been Bad ass since his injury return. Also Props to Cleary (who I bag on all the time) he has played very good, lastly congrats to Emmerton. I feel like Datsyuk just looks injured or out of sync hopefully he can figure it out and start to light it up. All around the wings looked good and determined, I'm just hoping we can watch a SC highlight video a few months, interviewing the opposing teams talking about how ******* stupid Weber and Nashville was for the cheapshot and then joking around in the fact they woke up a sleeping juggernaut.

Sure am glad we have 90% ******* on this team. They didn't care when Malkin swung a stick at Z, they didn't care when Datsyuk had to fight for himself, or Howard, but Holland loves this team... f*** HIM

That's what I'm saying. Of course we aren't pro athletes, but that also means we don't travel 6/7 months with our teamates either. But never in my life would I let s*** like that go down against one of my friends
