I'm fine with 3rd, playing the injured Kings or Yotes seems a lot better than playing Ducks or Chi. I know we could beat the other 2, but the Ducks will cheap shot our players and it will hurt the next round. I want chicago to stay in 8th so they can play Van in the 1st, they are in there heads. However if Van. beats Chi. I do fear the idea of getting the monkey off their back and then setting into overdrive. Either way 3rd at the moment seems to be the best spot to be in. The game we didn't look to bad, Howard was playing great even though he was a bit weak on the wrap around. Ward is one of the best goalies in the league and willed them for the win. I'm sure it was in the back of our minds not to get hurt especially after Z did so of all games to take as a playoff indicator I wouldn't use that one. Even though i want the Hawks to play Van. in the 1st there is a part of me that would love more than anything to ruin their playoff hopes.

They certainly are on a mission, however that could come back to bite them in the ass. 6/7/8 seeds are not nearly the scrubs 6/7/8 seeds used to be. I especially wouldn't want to face Nashville or Chicago if I was Van. However I feel confident we would crush Chi if we played them

The only positive I can see about us stumbling into the playoffs is this: A team like Van. still doesn't know how to pace itself (considering the round they always exit) so they are basically blowing their load during the regular season. Then you have so many other teams in a dog fight (I'd even include SJ b/c for a lot of the season they were boarding) that many will be burned out. So hopefully our incrediabily lazy and unred wing like hockey will end up paying off for us in the end. It is a marvel that we managed to stay in 2nd while basically playing so half assed

someone needs to do something more than just ******* talk. I could give a f*** less about what babcock has to say how about he ices a team taht at least gives a s*** for more than 2 games a month. I have been a person that has said for a while we will still go deep we just don't care etc. But to watch such uninspired hockey is insulting and i find it more insulting they force fans to have to pay so much money to see players just go through some ******* motions. At least s***ty teams like Isles, Avs, try.

I thought he'd be an extremely effective 3rd liner. However he seems to be consistantly improving. You can tell he has worked his hands alot and they are slowly catching up with his speed, if he can completly put those 2 features together he may very well be a 1st liner. Right now I do think he would be an effective 2nd liner, he has something this team lacks and that is heart. He doesn't take a shift off adn if he's knocked down he pops right back up, also you basically have to move the camera out anytime opposing teams player is on a breakway because he back checks like it's the SC finals every s***.

Like I said earlier, I almost wish we would have lost again (although it's almost impossible to root against them) but I worry that some lucky ass win like that will only allow them to continue to play like this. We got lucky, but whatever you have to be good to be lucky

agreed, I like what I see in Kindl but you can tell he is a rookie. However as I have said before Big E should just have meat curtains draped from his helmet because he plays like a 6'5 ******, which is sad to see him regress so much from the 08 cup run

is it wrong that I don't care if we lose? 2 reasons, 1) maybe if we do, Babcock will snap and the team can actually consitantly play good. If we destroy EDM tonight we most likely will just slip back into our lazy habits, which has become quite tiresome. 2) It's funny to hear the sky is falling crowd go insane. I'm glad Modano is back but I think a lot of people are forgetting he really didn't do amazing when he was healthy at the begining of the season. Also Kindl >>>> Ericson/Salei. I wouldn't mind seeing either one of them traded for a better stay at home dman. Kindl is everything we were hoping to see Big E play as this season.
