I agree with how the situation most likely will play out. However with your moral of the story I completly disagree with #3 because I'm sure most didn't think Franzen would be as impactful as he were, or that Hudler would be better than he currently is. My point being is I wouldn't rush to judgement on how effective a player can be in the NHL compared to the AHL until you actually get to visit them. Weren't people even saying Howard was doing eh in the AHL?

I say give him a shot. If he backs up his word sweet, if not then he is humbled quickly and we can all move on with our lives. is it just me or have the most recent Wings games been kind of tame lately. They haven't been as intense as I would have thought, but maybe it's because they don't have to give a s*** for 3/4 of the game, and the other team is to busy actually trying to play hockey as opposed to turning into a physical night. Either way go wings!

The Wild are the lamest ******* team ever. Seriously they play such a boring ******* style I'd be pissed if I was a Wild fan. Second off Mindfly not many teams win cups on the back of a one goalie in the new era of hockey. It seems like a lot of goalies get burned out by the time the playoffs role around because of holding a team on there back for so long. So I'm all for giving Howard a rest, we have plenty of points right now to let Ozzy get a few games (He's looked better lately).

great game, all lines looked good. Ericsson did the right thing (even though the check was legal) same thing with Whitney. The oilers seem to have a pretty good fansbase, they didn't boo at stupid times like some fans, plus there ice is the s***.

could salei have an effect on Ericsson because he has played great lately, props to him.

Please sit either Mondano or Hudler. Cleary/4th line have been fine, as far as Ozzy goes if he plays like he did the last 2 periods of the Yotes game I'm ok with it. I really have thought his time is done and he certainly didn't help in the 1st period last game, but it wasn't directly his fault and he did seem to get some momentum going later. Modano has made some very nice passes, but then does nothing after not even back check... I agree though, Hudler may need a little more time. But if he played like s*** this game then I would put Modano in for him.
