simply awesome, especially with that picture

agreed, it was completely f***ed up that's for sure. But man, doing that took balls....

For the epicness of the entire Wild arena chanting Boogeymans name alone in 07. After Anaheim was jumping all the Wild players. Here's a youtube of the chant, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XK5YJQFxqCE what happened after was Boogard running around and cheap shotting every Ducks player until one finally stepped up to the bell (I think it was May) What about Datsyuk saying he'd like to have Boogard play here?

That would be sweet if Illitch bought the Pistons too. I guess I look at Illitch as if he were the champion of the city and he at least cares. I'd love to have a passionate owner in charge again

I would like at some point in this draft to hear the words big and extremely mean when describing one of our draft picks; I do understand trying to get talent early though so I can't complain right now(that and I don't know s*** about either player, but I like both picks)
-
I think a lot of you underestimate Byfuliegn, he alone is developing into a late 1st rounder worthy pick. Both sides benefited from this trade, positive for Detroit though is some of the muscle has left Chi. They could probably pick up a decent amount of picks for everyone

You and I damn well both know Holland won't go after a team like that
-
I never really thought of Little as soft
-
if he spends the entire season in the minors and is used as a just in case measure during the playoffs I'd rather sign in at the trade deadline so the min. amount of salary is on the books. If he is honestly signing him for the entire season then I suppose Holland has said f*** the cup for another season now...
-
Arnott isn't very good now, smart of the Preds to trade him while there is any value left
-
That would be bad ass if we could some how get him, but probably won't be able to

Is Filppula going to be our 3rd line center...or 1st line winger?

Sorry I know this is a little off topic, so I'll at least start by saying I think Flip will eventually be what everyone hopes for. My point though is that I am getting ******* sick of this team, I'm sorry and I may be the only one. I wan tto keep the superstars but I really wish Holland would cut some of these ******* ties and actually opted for some more new blood besides a potential goon... -
Yes Holland has been making some mistakes recently; but not because of Kopecky. Leino was a bad move because he should have tried to get more or at least wait for the team to comeback. Giving out NTC like they are candy and signing, Cleary/Draper/Rafalski to just bad contracts Letting Quincey go to keep Chelios This falls on Babcock but replacing Abbey in the finals a few years ago after he scored 2 goals in 2 games Lastly for signing Williams again Those have been his faults, but I still would venture to say that is far less then probably EVERY other GM in the league, let's just hope he learns from them.

Agreed, It certainly isn't smart. But its just what people tend to go through in life, you look back and think wow was I stupid, but it was fun....... I'd try to but as a student athlete; much less and almost sure fire pro I'm pretty sure a lot of people are trying to be your friend. A lot more hot ass girls are trying to get with you, so I can see where this kid is coming from. To think he should be a 18-21 then everyone else because has talented is asking a lot.
-
(Smith) if you can't see where the kid is coming you must not have made the most of your college experience. Drinking/parties/fights are a corner stone of any good college experience. If he is a dick, he will be probably get humbled in the AHL. My god did everyone on here just get shat out at the age of 40? Most teens/early 20's males are cocky also wow.....

Would a real gritty fighter help or hurt this team?

I love these lines I would say we just try to steal Chris Stewart if that's what you are looking for -
Agreed this team is tired, it needs to be changed. Signing away all your cap space just gives us another year of apathetic play. Hudler will be a massive improvement over Williams but still isn't enough. I just don't feel comfortable icing basically the same team, our bottom 6 isn't equally distributed, Miller/Eaves/Ritola/Helm/hell even Cleary all have the same type of play. We need to start changing some pieces and obviously Helm is staying and we are forced with Cleary, but we need to at least get rid one of Eaves/Miller/Ritola. Also I would be highly disappointed if Lidstrom didn't take a decent pay cut. I don't give a s*** that he is a pro and worth the money, I just couldn't imagine Lidstrom being that type of guy, I figured he'd be more like Stevie Y.....

glad Chi won, I mean at least a WC team will win the cup; although I was disappointed in how close they let Philly get. This is the 1st stanley cup I can remember where both teams have glaring errors. Actually this whole playoffs were full of teams with glaring errors. Exciting but kind of sad too.

The question is do they want money through viewership or to expand the league? 1)if Money put a Canadian team in it, and why not the eventual SC champion Chicago again, they will have just as many accolades as Pitt. 2) Or they could expand viewership by not just pimping 2 players so people may actually care about teams in there area as opposed to 2 teams that are across the country because they aren't exposed to the youth in there area.

reminds me of when Kocur wanted to fight the St. Louis Blues. Man can you imagine if a player tried grabbing his shirt like that, it would have been beautiful
-
man the wings really can't catch a break this year . Good luck to him
-
but that's between eastern and western. I think parity is true within each conference, the west/east really didn't have any give me wins. It's just comparing conferences that the lack of parity is around. It does piss me off knowing how tough the west has it compared to what Pitt. and Was. should have had. Imagine if we got to play in the East we could roll in all the ******* SC we would have.
-
considering the 7/8 seeds in the east are in the finals doesn't that prove there's parity. But you are right about where these teams would finish in the west, because it's kind of buls*** how pathetic the east is compared to the west.

Then who do we get rid of ? Draper/Eaves/Miller/Ritolia I don't believe we have enough spots
