Sorry but am I the only one who thought we kind of stumbled into that win? I mean I'll take it but, Howard gave up mad rebounds and just played ackward, Lilja horrible, Zetterberg looked very slow and lazy, Miller/Eaves/Williams all were nonexsistant, and for people who ***** about Flips money what about Clearys useless ass. I know I'm probably not acting the way I should after a win against Chicago, but they just seemed to me to have gotten lucky that Datsyuk/Lidstrom/ and somewhat Rafawlski had good games. Seriously what the f*** Z and Cleary!

Dude for 3 million Flip isn't supposed to carry a top 6 line, he is supposed to be an effective supporter on the either of the 2 lines. At Hossa's price tag you damn well better be one of the leaders on the top 6.

Maybe you shouldn't be looking at this as having Flip cost us Hossa rather, Hollands horrible Raflawski/Cleary/hudler contracts are why we lost Hossa.

If Holland holds true to the words of doing nothing then he has been half assing his job for 2 years now (regardless of getting to the finals) Loses Quincey for nothing (may lose Lebda the same way if nothing is done) Losses Sammy/Hudler/Hossa/Kopecky for nothing and replace them with LEINO (huge disappointment) Big Rig (huge disappointment), Bert (great), Williams (was injuried but mostly worthless when not). If nothing is done to this club I think we have every right to be pissed about lack of movement. I understand he said this maybe a low year, but wtf don't just call it in, if that's the case he is telling us we shouldn't bother watching or going to games because they don't give a f*** so we shouldn't either.

have you seen some of the trades, you really don't think we could get ANYTHING for Lebda or Williams? NOTHING, now that's not logical. If you said we may not want what they are offering you have a case, but to think we couldn't get ANYTHING for Lebda or a combo of Lebda/Meech/Big Rig/Janik/Delmore/Williams then you are missing simple logic.

couldn't have happened according to cymson the only trades that can be made are for Hossa or top six type players. Never depth......

If you don't even think we could get a 5th for Lebda you are crazy, for one he has more playoff experience then a lot of players. Second do you think teams never trade for bottom pairing defenseman or something, is it go big or go home with every trade. You're wrong if you don't think we could get anything for Lebda.

Williams has been very helpful in that dept.

I'd rather keep Flip then Ericsson. Flip has shown plenty of signs of improvement. I understand Ericsson is a rookie, but aside from 1 playoff series and a fight with Perry, he has slowly regressed. I believe to many hope for another Fisher, but unless he plays like he has a pair of balls I would keep Flip at his price rather then Ericsson at his.

I know, the Loss of Hossa/Hudler/Sammy/etc make no difference at all, we shouldn't do anything. We were there before and lost, let's just roll into the playoffs with what we have . Hell let's lose Lebda/Meech for nothing to ala Quincey because that is a brilliant plan; I mean we did make the finals 2x and they won gold in the olympics so obviously they can do no wrong. How about you look 30min north and ask the Pistons how the keeping just the core together worked out for them.

you're right keeping the same core of players and signing a ton of cast aways is the premier way of getting back to the finals, we shall ride the broken back of Todd Bertuzzi and Jason Williams to the promised land.
