The reason people are so high on Abby is that his line has actually been the only one in quite a few games that kept the puck in the offensive zone, Abby being the main carrier. On top of that he doesn't ever appear to be taking shifts off like others look like, lastly it's not like it would hurt the 1st or 4th line if there were a shake up.

You forgot to mention Ballard was sucker punched by foote immediately afterwords.

Though at times we have looked like garbage, times like this really do let us see what we have to work with. Examples being, we now know we potentially have a starting goalie in Howard which most of us were worried about. Helm/Abby have looked like a great tandem for the future. The additions of Eaves/Miller give us the option of keeping 1 if not both in the future. It also helps reasurre some of our ideas and hopefully opens Hollands eyes: We do need another sniper, Lebda/Meech and if somehow we get Rafi (NTC) all need to be traded away. Though I'm really hoping we have someone just break out like the Mule did years prior.

Abby, Eaves, Helm, Miller all deserve looks wtih Datsyuk and Z. They have been playing there collective asses off. Howard def. is proving he should be our starter. Our D needs to learn to actually be able to shoot on the net, Meech/Lebda are still like watching an abortion on the ice. Homer has absolutely no puck control and should probably just be a PP specialist. Cleary really needs to step up, and I'm on the fence about Bert and Leino. Sometimes they both look insanely snack bitten when it comes to points, other thimes tehy just look like they don't give a f*** and play like cowards. Either way I'm happy we won and hopefully this kick starts something. OH and f*** Jackman

seriously why the f*** is Lebda/Meech still on this team. Neither has shown ANYTHING of value, Lebda has been a bottom pairing for years that hasn't done anything positive to stand out and Meech can't even beat him out for a full time position. I mean seriously Holland what the f***?

Yeah out of the current players Lids is the only for sure and if Z and Dats win 2 more cups then they could be put in the rafters. Feds has no chance, stats and talent wise no argument but his attitude and baggage are what keeps him out.

yeah it really feels like we have no high end prospects aside from Tatar, compared to most other teams. But hopefully our next call up just happens to turn into something special.

ozzie has been bad ass this game can't blame him for that, or even Ericsson/Lebda, s*** like that happens sometimes.

I'll say it then Big Rig has been almost as bad as Lebda on defense, the difference is Big Rig has some offensive upside. Also everyone loves Ericsson because he's big and will fight. I like him a lot but I have been unimpressed this season but I keep in mind this is actually his 1st season on the roster full time.

well after 1 game you can't really say, but I will say I didn't know he was out on the ice (which is a great thing when playing 5/6 dman) you usually know when Lebda/Meech are out there because it's in our zone or getting taking away from them. I should say though yesterday was probably Lebdas best game of the last 2 seasons.

Seemed like a very defensive game, not a huge amount of scoring chances. I also think the bounces went in our favor; but it certainly helped with Ozzie playing his best game of the season. Ozzy looked great, Lebda looked great, so did Datsyuk and Z.

Don't let #'s fool you big E has not been very good this season. I think this is Anze and Quicks year to break out. I hope Anderson was just playing over his head but he has been exciting to watch.
