I know many probably won't agree with me, but I hope if we get a goon we get a true "goon" in the sense that he will make ANYONE pay regardless of name; whether it be Boogard, Pronger, Perry, Crosby, Kipper, or even Bettman; if we are going to do it, we need to do it right!

not by much but yeah from what I've seen of Orr he at least able to be on the 4th line more then a lot of goons

Even if he doesn't make it to the NHL level, I like the fact that Holland and co. obviously are showing they want some size/physicality for the future squad.

Do we need it? I mean we do have Downey who basically could do the same for a lot less.

god I hope we don't trade flip, he is a playoff performer. A lot of these people saying Datysuk looked like a superstar were probably the same wanting him not resigned because he was a playoff "choker". Flip looks great is much younger then Datsyuk, not to mention he gets to learn from Datsyuk. I bet by the time Flip is 30 he will be near Datsyuk's level. -
maybe to early to know, but when do we find out who has been invited? Or does all this happen after the draft?

I do think a lot of those people (outside Pitt) that said they wanted Hossa to lose because he jumped ship probably fogive him, after his not so spectacular playoffs and losing to his old team in game 7. Heck I bet most would eventually root for him thinking he has eatin enough crow.

wow talking about people seeing different games from each other, I think Flip was our 2nd best forward in the playoffs. Also I would love to get homer/draper/maltby into retirement mode, and maybe add some grit. I mean Abby is tough but he isn't a Drake yet, Lappy on the other hand. He can play the PK and chip in goal scoring, plus isn't scared to run a star and get his ass kicked.

god Lidstrom looked so beatin, to know he played after he's junk was f***ed up is amazing. He deserves at least one more cup!

I have said for a while Flip will probably be almost on Datsyuks level by the time he is 30 (in the playoffs anyway) . The guy is extremely young, and in regular season he isn't amazing, but when the playoffs come around the guy is a machine.

yeah I thinkm we can all agree that Dats/Z need to play together. But I also thought especially with a full season of Flip/Hossa would be sick.

there is no chance in hell we get rid of Flip, he is a playoff beast and we now know him and Hossa work together. That means we will probably role with lines like Dats/Z/Cleary, then Hossa/Flip/Franzen. I wouldn't mind keeping Hossa but only for no more then 4 mill. Also are we going to get rid of Lebda or Lilja?

agreed, I'm all for grit depth that's what Dallas Drake brought us. Also interesting question is say we get a 1st or 2nd/3rd for Hudler, could we trade our 1st and the 1st, or our 1st and the 2nd/3rd, for a top 5 draft pick?

tired/cocky, I don't know I wouldn't mind keeping Hossa at a 4mill price tag, and having so mad turn over on our bottom lines. Homer/Draper/Maltby=Helm/Abby/idk. I'm on the wall about Hudler.
