once again aside from face offs, what does Draper have to offer? Aside from PK what does Maltby have to offer? Keep in mind they are now playing Kopecky on the PK and he has been decent on it, if anyone should sit it should be one of those two. But in general Leino should be playing over any of those 3 and bump Sammy or Cleary down to the grind line.

really I thought Kopecky has been playing much better, especially when he is playing with the younger lines, if anything sit Draper; all he does is faces offs then goes to the bench. Or Maltby; god bless him he tries.

that's awesome now if only they could fix his ****** so he can be healthy for more then a month . I kid Mule lovers, I just don't like the idea of signing injury prone players to huge contracts. Of course if he has another break out post season I am willing to look the other way. Just this once

Thank you I agree, just because we are potential over paying for one player (flip) in peoples opinions that doesn't mean we should over pay for 2 (Mule). If he wants anymore then .5 over Flip let him walk, he is in his prime while, Hudler nor Flip are in theres. I'm telling you if he is on another team you will see another Lapointe situation;maybe not AS bad but still.

I think I'm the only person that thinks Franzen is overrated at 4million. Granted he is offensively better then Flip, he doesn't play as hard, is always injured, is only a shooter not a passer at all, and is older. I think he should make 3.5 max, because if moved he will be another Lapointe.

honestly who gives a s*** about the Pens and Crosby. We know the league loves him, but we won the cup guys move on we have bigger fish to fry (sharks) this year, and bigger holes that need to be filled (ozzy), ok I'm done with that. But seriously we don't have to worry about seeing the Pens in the finals so who cares, I'm actually more bothered with the hard on the world has for Boston, when they get to play so many scrub teams.

Exactly I never have cared who's in net as long as we are winning, but people have some sort of attachment to players that is simply illogical, the Hasek/Ozzy lovers; people there are some that are indifferent, but if a goalie is playing like s*** he should be called out.

what was his save %, I can't remember the games but overall record doesn't show how well the goalie is playing; especially in Detroit. I mean if you looked at Ozzy's record you would think he's playing fine. But I do remember when everyone thought Dom would come around he never did and we ended up pulling him he was given a chance. At this point I feel safer with Conklin in the net, maybe Ozzy just needs to have the competition, I hope we do end up riding a hot goalie into the play offs regardless of who it is.

sorry for bumping myself, but I just wanted to say I don't dislike Flip, I actually think he is good and will be very successful given a larger role eventually, but for someone like Stewart I'm willing to give up anyone except the top players; I would rather give them Franzen TBH.

no way if I were Holland i would try Flip/1st for Chris Stewart from Colorado. There is no way in hell they would do that though, he is going to be sick. Imagine Chris Neil with real talent......... You have to remember during the season Kenny rarely will trade roster players, it will either involve picks or prospects. But this team would love Stewart, N.A. and black for more Detroiters to relate to. Fights, scores, has it all.

All of Ozzy's defenders say he will play out of it. Did Hasek last year? Nope, then everyone said Ozzy couldn't lead us to a cup, just like the Ozzy defenders this year say Conklin can't lead us. Listen Ozzy is a great guy and I would love for him to be winning because all I want to do is see the Wings win the cup. But he looks like he doesn't have it anymore, if anything I'd like to see how Howard would do. I doubt you could get anything for Ozzy besides you know the wings are loyal to a fault(which is why people like Hossa want to be here.) So no I don't think we get rid of Ozzy but have Conklin and Howard play for a while, show Ozzy he isn't getting a free pass.

I've been saying that about the east all season. Mark my words if Malkin/Ovie/Malkin were in the west Datsyuk would be the point leader by at least 7. They are great players but have the ability to play horrible teams a lot more then the west.
