I don't see why any of this is negative. Feds was doing what his job entails and he even admitted he understood why Pavel made is choice, of course I don't have the same hate for Feds as many.

The central problem with the argument on 97.1 is (at least when it was first brought up, the only part I heard) they made it seem like people only are interested in one sport. Most people in the area follow none or all.

Cleary is so bad at hockey it makes me question whether he is generally a bad person or not. He brings nothing to the table, he had a stretch of 4-5 games this whole year where he was worth a damn. edit: I really hope the Avs sign him, I have a friend who is a huge Avs fan and always talks about how terrible he is. I'd prefer he wasn't paid at all. He played one good series in the playoffs, and I believe 2 goals he scored were bounced off of him by Datsyuk. Cleary ******* sucks and certainly doesn't deserve to remain the same or even a $.2k raise, he deserves to have his ass sent to the Flames to fade away into nothing.

You just compared Cleary to one player even the Wings wont resign, and another who everyone on here ******* about being a floater, so basically Cleary is the tallest midget? Homer retired about 2 years to late as well, so again to me a bad comparison for your point. Also Cleary in the Ducks series, did actually have goals bounce off of him, and he is never healthy so the only word you can use is probably. Other than that he takes up a roster spot for someone, faster, bigger, better defensively, offensively, younger, any combination or any single attribute still makes whatever rookie more valuable, not to mention what $3 + would get you is better than Cleary (unless it's Sammy). If he ends up on any line that is both Holland and Babcocks fault and I will immediately believe they do not want to ice the best team possible. What I'm saying is Cleary at $500k is to large of a part for him to play in Hollands offseason plan, at anywhere near $3 million dollars is a big part of his off season plans, in that he once again didn't plan on doing his job.

IMO he had 1 good half playoff series in the last 2 years. Other then that, his favorite move is get the puck, pin it to the corner half way up the boards, and then let the dman take it away and throw it out of the zone.

I'm not trying to say I agree with what Holland is doing guys. But use some common sense, people are scared we will forever remain small, and it's obvious they know the Wings need size; look at their last few drafts. But just because you have the money doesn't mean you blow it at the 1st place you shop. We still have trade options, we have youth that has proven it needs to play at the next level, and we still have the money. IF Holland does buy out Sammy, I think it will be a little telling in that he realizes some of these revamps are not working. Really?
