Lilja has been one of our best defenseman this season how could anyone say Lebda has done anything but be a horrible #6 possibly worst in the league. Maybe we should put Lilja on line 1 and Lidstrom that scrub on line 3... Ok I kid, but seriously Lids doesn't look like himself, we have a few more games before it really becomes a concern. It could also be the pinching of Ralfaski to much, or the offense really hasn't back checked as much as usual, idk.

every sport has a mental aspect, knowing someone has your back makes you much more proactive as opposed to reactive.

I agree but Chelios really won't make much of a difference, although he can't be worse then Lebda so maybe I should retract our statement. Essantially s*** needs to be fixed by game 30 if not then I may be a bit worried.

s***ty thing is he told the Canadians he needed to go home because of family reasons, a few days later he signs a contract; what an honorable man....

how about we can babcock and put me in as coach I'll get this team a movin. Seriously though as s***ty as we look there are a few more factors to the Sharks game. 1) We played back to back into OT the night before, 2) Todd knows are strategy and exactly what our players do with in the system, making it easier for him to plan then for Babcock, 3) There isn't much of a scouting report yet on the Sharks because they have a new system, while it is similar to Wings it uses different players so that means the there are subtle differences to the style. Once people figure how to play them like physically against the Wings games will be more interesting. 4) Lebda and our "energy" line have to be a set of the worst players in hockey, which is sad with such great talent ahead of them.

nope not at all, Avery is a great pest but the only way he would be more of a deteraint then Downey would be if he cheapshot people. Avery as much as people may hate him really isn't known for being a cheapshot artist, everyone else on the list he is more intimidating then though. A better choice would have been TooToo though because he doesn't give a f*** and he is dirty.

Meech is small but actually knows when to jump in a play and how to ******* shoot a puck. 2 years ago Hollands mistake was giving up Mathias for brokebackbert, this year it's keeping Lebda over Quincey. Either way it's his cross to bear for putting such a great product out on the ice to the point where we ***** if we see anything less. Lilja has played at least as good as our 3/4 defensive men. I think if Kopecky is anything like a Maltby prodigy he may do good with Downey in the line up, knowing someone has his back; remember the last few years people have taken so many uncalled for cheap shots on him. Plus he has looked good in the last 2 games, I'm not ready to give up on Kopecky yet. Anyone else on the 4th line and even Hudler on the 3rd and Sammy on the 2nd are all expendable in my eyes.

We need more then just Downey out there for a physical presence he can't fight everyone. Say we do bring him up that also means that Kopecky better start being willing to fight, same with Lilja. We need at least 3 or 4 guys to really play with an edge in order for us to protect people or get revenge for cheap shots; BRING ON NEIL. But it looks as if Holland does understand that just most are in the minors: Ericcson, Kindl, Abby, Koslov, Axelsson, Andersson are all willing to fight or at least like to finish checks plus they are all 6' or above, we just have people like Maltby, Draper, Kopecky, Lebda, Chelios, and Sammy all in their way.

He's also coming off injury he wasn't even supposed to hit the ice until Nov. last year he actually should some promise even in the last 2 games he has looked much better; wouldn't bat in eye if he gets moved though

Well they sure as hell would be prepared arriving for the game a day early. But why get rid of Lilja he has been one of our better defenders, Lebda provides nothing great he has speed brings the puck in to the offensive zone then just gets it taken from him.

how old do you have to be to get dementia, and how old is Holland? Sorry I'm just angry I hate idea of saying we want to roll 4 lines and we don't and when we try they just get embarrassed.

Thank god we have DMac as an enforcer out there. Hell thank god we have such a sweet 4th line, and another American born Norris candidate in Lebda the Great. Seriously not to much to be optimistic about after this game, obviously we have plenty of time to fix the problem. If we are playing like this in game 30 I'll be a bit nervous. I understand Holland and Co. know more then we do but seriously some solutions seem quite obvious....

just give them up for a 6th round pick we could use the cap relief

seriously what the f*** does our 4th line provide, please anyone tell me... It's not Defense, or Offense, or Energy, or Fighting, or Checking, or faceoffs, Or I ******* hate our 4th line. I've defended Maltby enough he needs to be the 13th and DMac needs to just be sent the f*** down. I would rather have Downey do nothing more then play 5min a game then these scrubs. Meech for Lebda, Helm/Abby for Maltby, Downey/DMac. I must say though Kopecky is looking good the last 2 games, but all that means is season ending injury soon.

Our PP is the biggest thing to protect us, we don't need an energy line. We want to roll 4 lines. WHEN THE f*** ARE WE GOING TO ROLL THESE 4 LINES. Why bother putting this s***ty 4th line out there for 5min a game that provides no energy, no defense, no offense, no checking..... Please God let Lebda be waived soon, good to see we made the right choice with waiving Quincey. Lastly how the f*** are we the ducks with all the penalties this year? So much for the theory of refs calling trying to keep games close...

I would say a draw maybe the edge to DMAC......... oh was Dmac in the wings jersey? he got his assed kicked

the thing is yes our defense is weak right now but we need so me people to make the oppistion think before he goes into the zone, because we have NO real checkers on that line. We don't even need a sure fighter but we never replaced Drake who would go all out making people think twice.
