actually Mathias wasn't expected to be great or anything, he was projected to be a 3rd liner

I think most of the players getting crap have really been playing better as late to be honest, Franzen is hitting and seems to be play aggresive and looking like the most improved in the last few games. Sammy hasn't just shot the puck every 10 sec like everyone has complained about plus he is cheap and responsable on de. Even Drake is going out there and throwing some hits. To me Flip needs to start shooting since we are depending on him more, Kronner and Cleary are out so they can't do much, and as some may flame I think that Datsyuk has proven to be a much better foward at the moment then Z, but I think Z probably needs more rest.

are you serious, they maybe able to win on any given night, but at this moment Anaheim would be the only one that could even stand a chance in the playoffs against us. There are 7 games not 1, also do you really believe that one game really is tells us what would happen against Ottawa, so I guess the Caps would kill the Sens then too??

agreed, Grittzkey I've been agreeing with you a lot as of late what gives? But I really think Sammy is quite undervalued, don't get me wrong I don't think he is amazing nor would I be upset if he left. He is cheap and does a pretty good job for his price tag, the problem is without Lang or Williams we now have to find new fowards to not just dislike but to crucify ala Drake and Sammy sometimes Kopecky. He was told to shoot more, I don't agree with that but all he is doing is what Babcock told him to do, also when he shoots it directly at the goalie sometimes he could be setting up for a stopage of play. The biggest things I dislike about Sammy though is that he should pass more; but the coach knows more then me, I also wish he wasn't such a ***** and used his size, I think he is at least starting to TRY to. Hell he was in a fight this season; he looked scared and probably s*** his pants during it but at least he did it. All around though I would take a cheap player who SOMETIMES can pitch in on the 2nd line and will work hard over a player who is accused of being lazy and is benched on occasion.

It would suck but it would be the equivlent to when Ben Wallace left the pistons. Good player for the system he is in he excels if he leaves and is depended on more he won't be as effective.

sorry but Dats is our best foward and probably most underrated player in the NHL, about time people start recoginizing.

I agree, I like Downey and wouldn't mind keeping him around but don't see him playing to much during the playoffs.

they've been the most overrated team. The ONLY scary thing about them is Roberto, and their fans think every year they are the #1 contender.

I think after the Ducks game, I say we should actually go a Blake/Foote route, make a run for Foresberg b/c you don't have to give anything up, and in a dream maybe somehow Mac can provide something; another freebee. Also I hear talks of Sens maybe just the fans though about a possible move of Neil, wouldn't mind that. I'd really like to get: Boll, Cic (coyotes guy), or Dustin Brown, but I know none are a possability.
