He must've gone to Wayne Gretzky hockey school last summer or something. I've always thought of him as one of the worst players in the NHL,but he's actually been decent this season.

The way Backstrom's playing we'll have more of a chance getting Fernandez than him. But seriously,I wouldn't take him. He's not the best finnish goalie we could get and some of them would be way cheaper too. -

You're right,he deserves another chance after this seasons bad luck. But remember people,this deal doesn't give him an automatic roster spot. There's always good old waiver draft. He still has to prove himself,we've got more youngsters coming up (ok,maybe not next season but after that) and possible UFA's Kenny will sign etc.

Yes indeed,Homeboy. And I can guarantee we'd have more points if Brodeur,Crosby and Heatley were Wings. Z was/is injured,why speculate otherwise? Give the current team some support,Red Wings aren't one man show.

No,not the whole team. But there's a new generation of prospects coming up and some of them might deserve a roster spot already next season. While it would be great to re-sign everybody until they're elderly,this might not be the right way to go. Besides,professional sports is about winning and wherever there's room for improvement,a good GM will address these areas (and yes,within the cap).

Game recap: Before the game: What disappointment,we're getting FSN Prime Ticket feed. At least they weren't as bad as I thought. They had Kings @ Predators in their opening graphics. 1st period: We were all lazy and sucky. Except Hasek. 2nd & 3rd period: More shots and effort. But not enough quality in the shots though,most of them were easy for Burke. PK worked fine. This game made me think should we re-sign Schneider after all,Kronwall was terrible.
