From what I understand, the Blues would have only received that 1st round pick IF Tkachuk signed with the Thrashers in '08. Since that wasn't going to happen (apparently) the Blues wouldn't have received the conditional 1st round pick anyway.

LETS GO RED WINGS! I'd very much like to see a solid effort from everyone in a Wings jersey tonight. That would be a nice change. Tie it up, and head back for the home ice! GO WINGS GO!

As a Red Wings fan who lives in San Jose, I cheer on the Sharks whoever they play .. unless it's against the Wings! This will be a close series, the Sharks youth vs the Red Wings rolling 4 lines continuously .. I predict 7 games with multiple overtimes before we have a victor. Wings in 7 .. I just hope the survivor of the VAN / ANA series is at least as beat-up by then too.

As a Red Wing fan who lives in San Jose, all I can say is WHOO HOO about the Wings comin' to town! Excitement is in the air, this town is allready going Cup Crazy, so it's fun to walk around with a Wings jersey on. My Lady insisted that I pick her up a Sharks jersey today though. So I made sure to wear one of my Wings jerseys as we toured the mall in search of one for her. Walking out, wearing opposing team jerseys, was even more fun! Lots of comments from others, but not mean or nasty .. just fun and funny comments about the matchup. It's gonna be a fun series, LETS GO RED WINGS!

If it happened with any tender on any team, including the Wings, I would be just as amazed and disgusted as I was tonight. Classless ..
