How come Huds was demoted for a bad game and he has been performing great these last several games, yet Sammy has been god awful tonight and is still on line 2?

I know, thats why I recognized him and Kronwall produced more offensively. But Lebda has yet to make a turnover that I have winced at, unlike Lids. And I am a Lidstrom lover, so to speak

Lebda may not be playing great, but come on. Lidstrom made the biggest goof I have ever seen him make in his career against chicago that gave the chicago guy a breakaway. Lebda has yet to make that big of a mistake, yet no one is blasting Lidstrom. Even Kronwall has caused more damage to the Wings than Lebda with the stupid penalties he takes. Granted Kronwall and Lids both provide better in terms of offensive numbers, I dont think Lebda has been that "noticeable" on D which is a good thing. Plus, I believe it was Andreas Lilja who got burnt easily to the outside in Chicago (before everyone jumps over me, I know he just got back from surgery, but I am just saying) Seriously, our D as a whole have been s***ty, and its wrong to single out Lebda, especially with Lidstrom playing so un.......lidstromlike.

If your suggesting that I don't understand the prestige of the Stanley Cup, your mistaken. I recognize its importance, and what it means to the players, and fans. Yet I also recognize that a lot worse has happened to the stanley cup and no one has blinked an eye. Instead of questioning my understanding, why dont you question the NHL's who LET Joe Elliot lift the trophy over his head having never probably seen a professional hockey game. What I dont understand is how one automatically assumes he did it to disrespect the NHL. Whos telling whether or not HE knew how sacred it was? Maybe he thought it would be a joke, nothing more. If you are seriously pissed off about this as a fan, then I think you have your priorities out of order. I am a die hard Wings fan, have been since I was six years old. Been getting center ice for 5 years now just to watch the Wings and watched all but two games of the 90 something they played last season. I know what the cup means. I find this funny. Not necessarily what happened, but the reaction to it. Like I said, I can understand the players anger, to an extent, but it was upside down for about a second before Quincey fixed it, and as far as I have heard, everything is a-ok with it now. Worse has happened to it, as I have said. Most notably Pronger lifting the cup over his head

True that, but I enjoyed it. Usually you dont get to hear Vivs guitar that clearly, so it was nice to be able to pick out his parts. I still think this whole thing is ridiculous (ly) awesome. I understand the prestige of the Stanley Cup, but I dont understand why fans are getting upset about it. The players have a right to be upset about it, and certainly should if he did it on purpose, but as fans, I dont see what the big deal is. Its a trophy. More important than the trophy is the journey the team took to win the trophy. He turned the Cup upside down, not the team. And say what you will, I think Def Leppard were good up until Retro, but then again I am a sucker for melody. I enjoy a nice vocal line just as much as a crazy guitar riff.

Am I the only one who thinks Z and Franz were bring Hudlers play down? in all seriousness, I think Huds only problem is his strength/size. He gets pushed off easily from guys who are a lot bigger than him. You can tell his hockey sense is top line material, his size however, is not. I wish Huds had Sammy's body.

no kidding. But I knew about the game in plenty of time to save up the money needed (well, to not spend it on something less beneficial). Im not rolling in cash like Ditty working at Toys R Us. I will have a wings jersey, but a generic, plain, no name jersey on cause I dont have any other jersey. Hopefully they will play better than the first two games
