I'm glad we're not running away with the conference or division. This team needs to continue to consistently be competitive throughout the entire season, not float around for the last month and a half of the season with no purpose of playing. This is why they have failed in the playoffs of late. I really don't care if we finish 1st, but as long as they stay competitive like I said so that they are in that 'mode' when the playoffs start. Hopefully Nashville and Detroit both win some to keep things close in the division.

I'm willing to cut MacDonald some slack. He's only started a few games, only played now and then. He made some good saves, gave up some bad goals - but come on - he's only a rookie. I'm glad we aren't at the top of the conference/division, because this team needs more competition. Hopefully the division race stays close until the end of the season.

Come on gang, we all know what Maltby is responsible for...knocking our net off during the playoffs when the opposition gets too fiesty around our net! (Anybody remember that in 2004?)

I really hope the Wings are able to acquire Bertuzzi. I know many complain about needing grit, and those who whine about those who whine about grit, but Bertuzzi can bring a lot more than just grit. He can add a whole new depth of scoring on the Wings team. He is the missing link. In addition to that, he can be very effective in the playoffs - and could very well be the missing link the Wings playoff picture.

What a joke. I'm at the point of giving up being an NHL fan. NHL, as usual.

It's gonna be a tight race all the way through the season - but who do you think will win the division?
-
The MLB.com shop even had an image ready Oh well - it was one hell of a run.
-
8 Errors. 8 Unearned Runs. Just shows you. The Tigers future is bright. We have a lot of young talent that now has that experience. We'll be back.
-
8 unearned runs in the World Series so far for the Cardinals. Unbelievable.
-
Oh definately - it was no doubt a tough play. Monroe gave it his all to get that - I'll give him that. People say he should of caught it - but it's easier said than done. I noticed that too - that Umpire had a very unique strike zone - but it effected both teams really. Odd nonetheless. I'm keeping the faith too, just like when any of my favorite teams are on the brink of elimination. Hell any Tiger fan would of loved to be down 3-1 in the World Series prior to the season starting. Even if the Tigers do lose, I can't complain - it's been one heck of a ride.

I can't believe how they p*ssed this game away. Granderson falling, Rodney throwing the ball away, and Monroe unable to come up with the ball which led to the game winning run. It just wasn't meant to be tonight. Hey, at least we're entitled to play Game 5 - and heck, it looks like history could repeat itself!
-
I think they'll make it. They still have a lot of talent, and a goaltender that knows how to hold his ground.

You can download the entire game at: http://dds.mlb.com/11861/wmv/06_clinch/100..._clinch_350.wmv It has all the postgame celebration too.

I don't mind Robertson getting the start. Hopefully Oakland doesn't get any cheap base hits off of him. At least we will not be facing a lineup like we did last series (Granted, we can't overlook Oakland's lineup). A lot of people are giving the edge to Oakland on sites like ESPN and FOX Sports. I really don't see why though because both teams have good pitching, and decent defense for the most part. When it comes to offense, the Tigers definately have the edge.

I believe San Jose will go all the way. My second pick would be New Jersey. Well I'm glad they got eliminated anyhow.

Wow - Nick takes a pay cut and it's trashed just like that.

Here is the Eklund rating system.

Let's hope this is true! Just to dismiss those Eddie the Eagle rumors. Ugh.
-
Definately Gary Thorne and Bill Clement with Barry Melrose of course! I miss those days.
-
Definately. He is too much of what we already have, and has one major defect (lack of size).
-
Definately Hatcher. With him on the ice, it was basically a power play for the opponent. Lilja is an upgrade in todays game, but.... Lilja needs to work on puck control/handling though.
-
What a joke. Thank you Sheed for running your mouth. Stupid SOB.

Gotta go with good ol' Ernie. I miss him. Mario isn't bad, but now we must suffer with Rod Allen. Ugh.
