They should just do a freeze frame at the end of OT and cue the Seinfeld music at this point. God has this been frustrating to watch. It's like their skill level transforms into the equivalent of the Detroit Pistons all of a sudden when it goes to the shootout.

Zetterberg's attempt looked so amateur/cheap. At least Howard made A save in the shootout. lol. His approach in the shootout looks so awkward. He always goes 50 feet outside of the net and ends up over-committing to one side. It's so predictable and the shooters know it. I understand he comes out to cut down the angle so-to-speak, but it seems too much.

At least this team still finds ways to pick up points in spite of the many shootout horrors.

It almost feels comical when OT ends (when Howard is in net) because you know what looms. Too much pride stands in the way for Babcock to yank Howard specifically during the shootout. As much as some suggest it, I do not believe it will ever happen.

I thought the Wings were great. Emery stole the show and simply outplayed Gus. The Flyers made sure to finish with the few chances they had. Philly may have taken the points tonight, but it's clear that their team looks quite fraudulent. They were nothing but fortunate opportunists tonight. I just hope the Wings can sustain the type of efforts they put forth this far throughout the entire season. They look a lot better than last season in my opinion. It's a shame they've had a bushel full of demoralizing losses so early though courtesy of poor officiating and cheap timely fortunate by other teams.

Anyone notice that the Penguins announcers kind of had some sour grapes after that loss? "They act like they won the Stanley Cup."

Unreal victory. This is exactly what this team needed after that controversial game in Montreal. Howard came up huge late in the 2nd and through the 3rd to give the team a chance.

I tend to agree with roboturner. It seems over the past few years the moderation at LGW has become overzealous at times. I'm not inferring any specific moderator(s) either. It is getting very tiresome seeing valid discussions being swept away because of a few individuals who explicitly go off-topic or create personal attacks in threads. It's not right.
