However when Maltby comes back, which line does he play? He isn't going to be in 1st or 2nd. Maybe Cleary will get promoted to 2nd and Maltby will be in Drake-Draper-Maltby

I would appreciate if people stop trying to take a shot at me and talk about the subject. I didn't make the list to say 'hey I'm right and only I'm right.' I really don't have to defend my opinion. Like I said in OP, I wanted to share my idea and was asking for your thoughts and assessment of round 1. Call me a little conservitive person but until he proves that wasn't a fluke performance, he will get no benefit of doubt from me. I didn't make the list like 'hm... he got 5 pts, yep thats an A'. I was trying to grade people based on their impression from my memory. Maybe I was wearing anti-Huds glass or went to bathroom everytime Huds was on the ice but Huds didn't put on a great showing the way I remember.

As for Osgood, I think everyone will agree he played well and was playing on top of his level. However, he really didn't have to steal a game for us. I know know 'he was solid and kept our team etc' Yes he was good but every goalie is good in playoff. (except few) If the grades were made based on expectation - perfomance, I would give Ozzie solid A to A+. If Ozzie puts on Ellis like peformance, I would give him A+ (which means Red Wings are in big trouble) Also having only played 2 game also did factor into his grading. The grades are just my opinion, so please don't take it personal.

Huds was C- before I fixed it.. so not a big change actually. Maybe I'm biased.. actually I know I'm biased. lol Now maybe he can climb to C+ or B-/C+, but you have to remember his points came from PP and he was rarely utilized in EV except game 6. I just can't give more grade to a player because he did well for a brief period. This is the reason why I gave some players more/less grade than they deserved.

you maybe right about Sammy but I think he screwed up way too many times to really get a fair grade. When I think of B grade, I think of players who is showing some sort of impact. There is no argument about Huds' point total but I really can't give him more because he simply wasn't on ice enough.

You are right Huds deserves more credit. I'll fix it now DMac is down the list because although he is playing well given circumstances, he hasn't really been a much factor IMO.

Guys, I don't know about you but the way Dallas played was absolutely amazing. Simply put I think they are playing better hockey than Red Wings 'right now'. Of course I have faith in Red Wings but it looks to me that they are extremely extremely motivated and determined. I think we do matchup better with Stars than Ducks. However! IF we do face Stars in later round.... I dunno, it is going to be a one hell of tough battle where we need to dig REALLY deep. anyway, by saying that SO LONG YOU DUCKS SUCKAS!!! LOL!!!!

I know Wings will come out ready. Wings usually show killer insticts when they start rolling. However it could be another double OT game as Preds are no doubt ready themselves. This will be epic. :starwars2:

I read his whole interview again and it seems like I had misread before. Still, I'm sure Wings are going with Howard, Ozzie route next year. Emery looks like a guy who needs some shots to get him going. If we are going for a new goalie this offseason, we should get someone who can calm and relax our defence. However, Wings have a good prospect in Howard who can develop into that mold. He probably isn't going to take a lot of cap space next couple year as well. So I see little reason to sign someone else.

No we are not Detroit Red Wings. We are the fans of Detroit Red Wings. If you think anyone here doesn't love Red Wings, you are mistaken. I know some of the stuffs said here recently are pretty ridiculous but I understand why people say it. They get so frustrated to see something they really don't like they are fed up with it. Also some people are harder to impress and some people want to see perfection. They have concerns about Red Wings which they think can be fixed and they want to share it among other red wings fan. So for any of you to view that as pessimism, I would have to say you guys don't really know what people are really saying. I understand and I don't mind people are displeased about it, but please lay off on 'shame on you' stuff.
