I dunno about 'Great Lebda' but he is a very interesting D man to have in our current line up I think. If he develops more defensive awareness, he will be a good / very good D man. Also very small hit in cap space so I would say he is as valuable as some other guys.

well.. I don't know if Quincey is the guy who can generate offense. Also I think Lebda is better version of Meech. Meech just carries the puck to the end and hold it in the board while get caught off position when the play goes back the other way. Seriously in Defensive zone, he just gives puck to everyone that nears by, be it Wings or other team. In neutral zone, he is getting caught off position. In offensive zone, either he is ineffective by being in wrong position or does absolutely nothing productive. yeah he played great game against Avs but anyone can have great 1 game. It is not fair for me to evaluate him without really giving him chance to get experience under his belt, but I don't see anything great from Meech that warrants him a regular spot in future. Sure he 'CAN' be a good D man when he gets more experience but I would assume it is going to take long time and you just know if they have it or not even without much experience. If we are gonna give our valuable D minute to a rookie, I think it should be Ericsson. He looks like he will learn very quick and ... maybe I'm crazy but I think he might develop into Lidstrom Jr in times.

yup agree most. But I wished that Babcock made a decision to rest Datsyuk and especially Zetterberg with his back.

yeay light at the end of the tunnel! I wouldn't mind sitting him out more than neccessary for precaution though. If anyone needs to take extra precaution in our team, it is our captain. I was watching the game today and thought 'man we need Lids to play until 50s'

I would say he played well for his first game in NHL considering the situation we are in. I think he needs a lot more experience but he looks like a smart guy so hopefully he will learn quick.

I guess I should be happy that Flames scored just 1 goal. However I still think that Flames' so so game and Ozzie's all star form are the major reason why they only scored 1 goal As for offense, I don't think our O played bad game, except Sammy's usual passing frenzy in power plays and Draper missing the crucial open net. IMO our D just couldn't provide enough security or good plays for our Offense to have poise and make plays they usually make.

that's exactly what I thought But I don't think nervous factor was not the main reason they played bad. They just made too many mistakes to simply chalk it up to being nervous. Ericsson didn't make too many boneheaded mistakes but he needs to be A LOT better in positioning I think.

by the way do refs have something against Wings tonight or what? 1 or 2 calls I understand but they are almost as if enjoying Wings suffer
