wait a second.. so being first overall team means we are awarded to make no profit in first round, and then get to face a team who just went through fire and have all the momentum? (and we just woke up from bed no less?) It might work in some sports but not in hockey IMO. I would support giving top seeded teams last call on line change tho. (only in first round)

it was long day yesterday and i went to sleep during the second period when it was 2-1... well maybe i should goto sleep whenever Wings are in trouble. I was really suprised how well coyotes were playing, like Chicago, I think they are really turning around. man Western conference in few years is going to be really scary. anyway a good warm up game i would say. all the better that we won and gave them no points

This is just un-freaking-believable. wow .. I'm truly loss for words at this moment. man, there are some really weird people out there. As for Yzerman's comment, IMO he said it because even though the kid was manipulated the he needs to learn and realize that it was a wrong thing to do so he doesn't make same mistake again in future.

you have to remember hockey is pretty big and has importance of canadian culture. but it is TSN to job to sell to story that people will read, I just wish that they don't get caught up too much and simply act like an idiot and with pure jealousy.

man What a game.. I mean ... I was looking forward to this one and this one didn't disappoint at all. Everyone played well last night I always believed that Filp would shine in faster paced, high intensity game and he had a very good game last night. Kopecky was everything we could ask him to be, a force. I think he needs more of playoff experience to really find his game and excel. Huds didn't flat out shine last night but I think he is still maturing as a hockey player. After our playoff run this year, he will be back with more determination and experience under his belt. (hopefuly it will be a championship experience) Ellis was great. He is like a heavy duty truck in our sports car laden lineup. We really could use more of this type of player. There was a reason to do it well last night and they delivered. But ducks will be ready for us next time.

classic Melrose I'm begining to think that he does it to get some reaction out of us. If he were my buddy I would ask him one thing, " Just what kind of message did Ducks send last night? They are gonna goon it up on us? Well let me tell you something, If there was anyone that was sending a message that was Red Wings. That we will beat you no matter how you play us. We are REALLY looking forward seeing you this Spring"

I'm using Centre Ice to watch Wings and whenever I get Ken and Mickey that is my lucky day. They are so much better than the rest, and sound very professional. I would take them over Strader and Pang anyday. I thought Thorne and Clement was pretty good too.

I think Z is still lil off. It seems like puck rolls off him often and he doesn't look like having same confidence as before Also I think Cleary plays better with Datsyuk or Filp. Maybe after contract talk ends he will get to play with them.

vancouver isn't as prepared as our last few opponents but we look better than we did. I think this will be a good build off game

I don't think Ozzie bombed in his past 2 games. We just didn't pull it off as a team granted, with is style change, Ozzie is better when he can only concentrate to the shooter IMO. sorta like Giguere. He would be a good mentor to Howard next year.

I guess it is hard to keep the mental edge all 82 season games long. I was mad that we really show up with no energy against East's best team but not overly concerned that we lost last game. We thought we were going to win before the puck drop.. and didn't. Thrashers showed up ready to make a statement and played well enough to win. IMO we don't have to set the league record in win again. Last time we did that we didn't get the Cup anyway. If other teams start to underrate our team it is only going to be a good thing. Rather to ease off now to let some steams out and build up again towards to playoff round 1. Stanley Cup winners get their name immortalized. President Trophy winners are side notes.
