I don't think there is certain period rule in place for that. or maybe we shouldn't do it so blatantly I had high hopes for Meech but IMO he really hasn't showed anything to deserve a regular spot on roster. I like how he keeps himself positive and be a good teammate but he really needs to learn more about dealing with different situations and opponents.

This 2007-8 version of Wings are a team that can muck it out if needs to. I think we've gotten some lessons out of last years playoff. Even though Downey isn't a great fighter I think he is filling his role nicely. I think he's actually overacheiving our expectation a bit. I don't think we should go after true heavy weight who can't do anything else. However I think someone like Brad Winchester could be a cheap good addition.

Good game so far I can see why they are 2nd in Western conference. But we are better

IMO Filp is slowly turning into Datsyuk Jr. A lot of time he made similar plays and moves I thought Datsyuk was the guy making the play. He is starting to fire shots too so that is a good news. Anyway a good game against Divers and Refs. It was tough to beat them both but again they are no match for us.

Meech is just useless

we will need to dig deep since Blues will come out REALLY fired up with sold out crowd behind them. We always have trouble against quick opponent who doesn't let us set up our play. Keep things simple and QUICK.

I think Z is going to pickup his intensity come playoff and be a real force for us. I have a very positive feeling that this year's playoff is going to be a breakout year for Z. and for Dat, I think him getting rotating 'A' letter on chest was a great idea. Compared to last year, he seems to lead the play more and on some nights just dominates the games. I still think he is trying to figuring out the game a bit and in some instances thinks a 10th of second too long. But when he figures out and doesn't have to think too much anymore, wow, look out NHL.

damn I was so pissed they scored on Dat's penalty after watching all those capitals players dive all over the ice. I'm glad we won the game knowing that capitals played their playoff level of game against us and we weren't ready for it. It would have been extra nice if we didn't give any point to those cheating bastard.
