half cage or not, it will make a huge difference. I remember when I first played without the cage, I felt like I was finally freed and played with a lot more jump.

I just read coach and players interview and I got a sense that we are going with same approach to game 6 like game 5 and game 4. The Veteran coolness. I mean... how many coolness do we really need it right now? Isn't that the reason why we lost every friggin single time when it matters? you know... Wings looking flat? yet we are going with same approach? IMO Wings are like Ice. They are preaching player assignment and pride in keeping cool under pressure.. which works well for Defenceman but not really for Forwards. Dallas is like Fire. They go all out and throw everything on the line. Last time I checked, Defence rarely generate any momentum. Dallas are the ones giving it to us and getting all kinds of momentum. Wings are pretending they are a machine... which is great.. but machines are predictable. During the season, when Wings were at the end of winning streak, that was exactly how it looked like, executing same plays without any sort of creativity yet playing awesome defence. Execution and coolness, it's all great. But you simplify things way too much it becomes very predictable and really limiting our offensive creativity and capability. We don't need any more loose group. We already played awesome defence last few games. We made some mistakes.. but those sort of mistakes happen everygame. I think it is more imperative to take Stars momentum so that they don't capitalize our mistake. As much as we pretend we are a machine.. we aren't. Soon or later, we will break if things doesn't go our way. I've seen this scenario played out year after year. I think it is time, our forwards play with some fire and passion.

we lost 2 games in a row. We shouldn't panic but we are in trouble. It's time to drop BS cliche and step up to win a darn game.

I think Wings players could use some desperation actually.

IMO our effort was there. Just that our heart wasn't there. Also Dallas is doing to us what we do to other team, and we get easily frustrated and don't have answer for them. Wings want things go their way always.. and if not, they just crumble.

I just realize I forgot my playoff ritual today. Darn even I got ahead of myself maybe thinking it wouldn't be neccessary for this game. It won't happen next game I promise

this is what I wrote in other thread but I thought it more suits this one so... We aren't going to roll over anyone... but at the end of the day, I like our chances a lot better than other teams.

Rest is important but I think we can always learn from mistakes. we have to remember we are going to win 1-0, 2-1 games. Not 5-2, 8-4. Also we can't win all of them. Sometimes we have to accept that our best is not enough to win games. So we can't be frustrated if things don't go our way.

Let's not go crazy and start witching hunting. We just need to win 1 game. We are in an excellent situation. I would have gladly taken 3-1 series lead before the series began. Also all I wished before we headed to Dallas was a split. So let's not turn against ourselves for some ridiculous reasons.

well.. they are playing Flyers... so that might have something to do with that.

No this is not about Babcock who I think is certain to get his raise after this season and stay in Detroit. Rather, this is about our assistance coach Todd McLellan. Just check this out : http://www.denverpost.com/avalanche/ci_9238407 A lot of teams fired their head coaches and because we look so dominant right now, it was evident that soon or later, teams would turn their attention to our staffs. Now, I don't know about you guys but I think our assistance coaches are a huge part of our success right now. So obviously, I'm not that thrilled about the possibility. And from the sound of it.. I think McLellan is welcoming the idea of leaving our club and becoming a head coach somewhere else. So what now? Are there any ways to keep our assistance coaches in Wings orginization? Maybe huge bonus should be awarded IF we win 5 more games? or Is it inevitable?

If we are able to solve Fluery, no Malkin nor Crosby will be able to fare against our team. If not, then we have a series.

We did put on a dominant performance last night. I mean if you look at 3rd period of last night even Stars players look dejected. If you've seen Dallas players' interview.. they look so devasted and they just didn't have any answers or hope in their eyes. They just didn't know what to say or what to think or how they should go about next games. Even their local media already wrote them off. Every single one of them. If you goto their messageboard, everyone talks about how they are proud of Dallas of making western conference final etc.. So I think it is understandable that people feel the series is over already. However, just look at the top of your page and see 11 numbered victories Wings have achieved so far. Every win required alot of determinations and will. And to fill out the next empty 5 spaces, it is imperative that we have to get number 12 as soon as possible. Last night's game is over already. It is time to focus on getting number 12 against Dallas in their home building. They are not going to give it away to us. In fact, they will give their best effort yet for their fans alone. We have to go out tomorrow, pound their bodies and take what is belong to us from them. (wow I feel like I want to play)
