As a current Michigan Tech student and long time Michigan Tech hockey fan (it's been tough, I know), this news made my day. He was unbelievable to watch in college and it'll really make me happy to hopefully see him get pulled up at one point and throw on that Wings jersey.

Made my annual voyage down from THE YOOP, so I'll be there tonight. Section 121. Better win damn it.

Or you could park right next to Hockeytown Cafe for like $5 if I remember correctly, and eat/drink before the game an then take the shuttle over. That's what I did last time I was down there. It's kind of a s*** show finding your shuttle after the game though.

Congrats to Mr. Zamboni! I drive one of his creations nearly every day.

Time to put a strangle hold on the series. LET'S GO WINGS!

Can it be 7:00 yet please?! I've been puttering around all day waiting for this game to start. Blah. I'm nervous, anxious, and excited. GO WINGS!

I was at this game. First game since I was little. It was the most incredible thing I have ever been a part of. We had AWESOME seats. 5 rows behind the Wings bench. Seeing the action from that close was....wierd. I don't know how to describe it. It was amazing. And I get to do it again Friday!

I'm headed down to this game as well. The 9 hour drive from the Yoop is going to suck, but it'll be well worth it. I've only been to one game before, in 1997 maybe, when I was 10, I hardly even remember it. Super psyched.

Should the Red Wings Fire Assistant Coach Brad McCrimmon?

Everyone. Settle. Down. .... Seriously. -
Waking up before noon on a Saturday. Man. Hopefully the Wings got their s*** together this afternoon. 4-2 Wings.

I WILL BE AT THAT GAME. Trekking down from the Yoop. Hopefully he gets his bell rung, I mean, the mans, what, 43? And has been out of professional hockey for 5 years? I have pretty good seats, so hopefully he'll be able to hear me yelling at him that he has a V where his P should be. ******.

I have a great one that I used to do when I was much younger when the Wings were making their first cup run after their drought. I was around 10-11 years old. I had this Stevie Y poster, and I would set that up in front of the TV, then I would take ALL of my hockey cards with current Red Wing players on them and set them up around the poster. I would also do this with any Wing plaques or any other small memorabilia I had. It was essentially a shrine set up in front of the TV for every game. These days, I really only have playoff routines. I just wear my jerseys and try to watch the game at the same place if they're winning. I change it up if they lose.

Well, I'm looking to trek down to the D near the end of February to catch a couple of games. I've only been to the Joe once before, and I was sitting in the nose bleed section, so I'm kind of curious as to where the best place to watch the game would be from. Ticket cost is not a problem. I'm thinking anywhere near the blue line on the side where they shoot on the opposing goalie twice would be an ideal place to sit. If I'm thinking right, sections 109, 110, and 119, 120 are on that side where we shoot twice, right? Would there be any other good options? And is there such as thing as sitting TOO close to the glass? Thanks for the help.

Failed brakes my rear. I drive the Zamboni at my local rink (Tech WILL beat Northern tonight), and those things are so touchy that when you take your foot off the gas, they pretty much stop on a dime. I've never even used the brake.

CAN WE BLOW SOMEBODY OUT PLEASE?
-
What's the deal with Hossa spraypainting the bottom half of his Vapor XXXX black? I can't think of any advantages.
-
Last night's game was just plain weird. At first, I thought we were going to see a blowout, and then , players started making mistakes that you just don't EVER see make mistakes. Many times when one of our d-men went to make the initial breakout pass, they flubbed it. Generally this happens when Lilja has the puck, but I noticed Kronwall, Stuart AND Rafalski make horrendous errors like this multiple times during the 3rd. And the most incredible thing about last night were Datsyuk's two or three TERRIBLE giveaways in our own end. When do you EVER see him make a mistake with the puck, let alone something that big?
-
I kinda of want a shirt that says "Hossa: If you can't beat 'em, join 'em."
-
Doesn't someone say this after every season?
-
I just want to get the hat. Does it only come in that one size fits all flex fit business?
-
Put me down for $20! I could die happy if I saw that.

DATYSUK WAS THROWING HAYMAKERS! I LOVE THIS! What a glorious day!
