Damn, I was totally unaware that it was a 7 o'clock start time. So that i missed most of the first period, but doesn't look like i missed too much.

I was 10 when this happened, so I don't really remember much of the fight. I do remember seeing pictures of Kris Draper a week or so after the hit that Lemieux did, so I can understand why tempers were flying. I love Shanny jumping (literally) to stop Roy from going in on Mac. I love it. BTW, i just decided to pop in my "a celebration of champions" dvds so I can watch this game. That way it will be over by the tie the game tonight starts.

Yea, the Tootoo banned things are pretty lame and getting old and aren't really legit--but you know what is getting even more repetitive--the Bertuzzi comments. It happened like two years (or more) ago and he's paid the price (i know i know, not like moore has, but still). The only reason people think Tootoo should be banned is to protect their star players from being hurt in the mannerisms of Robidas. I am not saying that kind of talk is good or even right and it is getting old, but you are just ruining your legitimacy by bringing up the Bert situation--we've heard it all before and are quite frankly sick of it. Fortunately for you, if you don't want to see this Tootoo should be banned stuff, you can leave. Otherwise, ignore it because it will never go away no matter how many times you bring up Bert. Trying to tell Wings fans that Tootoo is skilled at drawing penalties and getting under people's skin only further proves their thoughts that he has no hockey talent (i.e. with a stink and a puck) whatsoever.That said, I hate Tootoo as much as anyone, but I don't think he should get banned because his talent lies in drawing penalties and being annoying--if the cheap shots continue my opinion might change.

Exactly...Flip and Rex are awesome players, but Cleary and unfortunately Sammy will get the nod over both of them. I love Cleary because of his work ethic and I hate Sammy for his, but regardless they will be considered regulars. As a result, Flip or Rex will start the playoffs. If Babcock sees that the selected one isn't performing well, he'll replace him with the other. In the end, it is nice to have an option going into the playoffs knowing that there will be a player on the sideline (no, not Lilja) that can step in and perform.

LMFAO...Langer has shown up in the playoffs in the past. His song, now that there is no irish jig, is second to none--except maybe the song played when Cleary scores goes on. Regardless, if lang shows up again in the playoffs, keep him and some how some way get rid of Sammy.

Haha, kill jack kill, I remember that. Michigan is sure gonna miss him. The thing with him is I wouldn't call him "dirty"--more like immature. Any time he took a shot at someone, it was because he was frustrated and did some pretty stupid things (if you are a MSU fan referring to that hit he got suspended for his fresh. yr). He matured a lot in the past year, so it will be interesting to see what he can do for the struggling Kings. He had been playing like a player counting down his days left in the CCHA, so no surprise that he left--but JMFJ will be just fine at the professional level.

I was at the game yesterday and I can honestly say I've never done the wave at a Red Wing game, so that was cool. The crowd was really into the game, which was really nice to see. That said, "Join the Red Wave" is incredibly cheezy/dorky/dumb pick you're word. Oh well, I guess the Illitch's can try to get creative with this one.

I need a good, legit excuse to miss class. I was thinking about showing up to class, telling my GSI that my sister just went into labor and then going back to my apartment and watching the game. Just to note...i do have a pregnant sister, so this isnt that far of a stretch. This is horrible....

I hate when hasek dives...that single play cost us the game. To his defense, however, the wings have scored 2 goals in the past 2 games. Hard to win any games that way. Hopefully with Bert and Cleary back all will be well--plus Ozzie is in net .
