That is soo creepy that it is cool. I'll be keeping an eye on the plane's progress until it lands--i've got nothing better to do.
-
Exactly, and that is an excellent thing. If you blend in, that means you've made zero mistakes. For him to go into that game, in a hostile arena after what happened in game 5 and show no nerves is pretty impressive. Of course you never want to go without Lebda and his speed, but it is nice to know that we have a lot of depth defensively.

Thanks a lot. We all know and feel your pain, we've been there. Good series though, definitely intense.
-
Cleary, hands down. Gotta give props to the young guys for stepping up too.

Lets give credit to players that had a great series

OMG, I am totally with you on that. During the regular season, I felt like everytime Lilja touched the puck I expected a turn over. Now, I am honestly comfortable with him in any situation. Perhaps, knowing that the pressure is off in terms of competing for a slot in the lineup is gone equalling a more relaxing Pain Train. The man has be wonderful, and I never thought I'd ever ever say that in a million years. -

Yea, he really seemed like he was out there every waking minute. I really like the guy, generally makes smart decisions and isn't afraid to drop the gloves. He quietly had a good series -

OMG, there are a few. Cleary was definitely the MVP. Andreas "the Pain Train" Lilja was excellent--hitting, sticking up for his teammates, no defensive errors. And, I gotta give props to Quincey today-how nerve racking, and he just came in and played like he had been there the whole time. -

Haha, I didn't almost kill any living beings--but I did most likely wake up my nextdoor neighbors in my apartment during finals week--and I am glad I did it...payback for all the damn parties they've thrown when I had to get up early. -

I think the biggest sigh came from Babcock--ESPN and junk were reporting he'd be done if the wings didn't get out of the first round. -

I feel you on the stress issue--I have a huge exam tomorrow but my sad list of priorities made me think the Wings game was much more important (which it was)...now I gotta go cram.As for the next round, I guess I am rooting to play the Stars, but with the way Turco has been playing I am rather worried--feels good to get out of the first round, regardless. -

Yea, he really impressed me. His first playoff game ever and he had to play in that arena after what happened in game 5. He was really good. -

Yay, I can finally come back on LGW. I am highly superstitious, and the wings were losing 1-0 so I got off--and right after the wings scored so I stayed off. But amazing. I probably woke up 1/2 of my apartment complex when I screamed, but thank you Franzen! I can finally go study for my final tomorrow. EDIT: Yay, Mickey and Ken are giving my man Cleary some props : > ) -
Per TSN: McLennan suspended 5 games, Lebda out for Game 6
Schneids_is_awesome replied to Ozzie30's topic in General
5 games for a guy that never ever ever plays--way to send a message. Langkow should have gotten a game--we all know the league looks at the extent of injuries, and if Lebda can't play tonight because of Langkow's suckerpunch, than Mr. Suckerpunch himself shouldn't get to play tonight--that simple. -
OMG, i was one of the many people going nuts in that place. That penalty shot changed the entire game--the crowd got more into it and the Flames could never recover!! That a boy Danny!

Flames getting slammed by own Media

All my prior respect for Igoonla has gone out the window. If you "aren't happy" with the way the game is going square up and fight--don't baseball hack someone or suckerpunch them. Nice excuse Iginla, aren't captain's suppose to be classy...at least ours is. -
Pre-GAME 6: (4/22) Red Wings @ Flames - 9 PM ET

I actually feel good too ...The flames before game 1 smacked on Hasek for being old. Igoonla before game 2 talked about being excited for the game because they have figured out their problems. NOW, before game 6, he is talking about looking forward to game 6. Keep your mouth and your team's mouths shut Captain Visor. As long as he keeps blabbing, I feel good. LETS GO WINGS. -
TSN reporting Lebda has suffered concussion
Schneids_is_awesome replied to omnipotent_hudler's topic in General
Just on a side note, Craig Conroy came out and said that his team cannot play that way and that a couple of players--I am guessing Igoonla, Kipper's backup, and Langkow were his three--just snapped. Maybe Iginla should take note from Conroy and act with some class. -
It is hard to believe that one of Danny Cleary's biggest flaws upon him coming into the league was his work ethic. You'd never ever guess he used to have a work ethic problem in a million years right now. He works his ass off day in and day out.

Ahh, I am not done recovering from game 5! Looking forward to tomorrow night--lets get the road "W" and move on. -
The trend going on in this league is horrible...Cowan now hurting Morrow at the end of a game where the nucks are losing. Horrible.
-
Haha, yes I knew the name of this topic would draw you in. You've been a fan since the beginning soo NO one can call you a bandwagoner. Dan Cleary's the man. Also, on a different note I'd like to give props to Lilja...he man has stepped it up this series

Lebda has an incredible history of taking out players' knees. Lebda was trying to stop him from going by, I don't think he was like geeze I really need to take this guys knees out in a game where we just want to get out of healthy. A penalty, yes. But umm, to say he had that coming. He got a 2 minute penalty and he had that coming? If all players in the NHL had that mentality every 2 minute penalty would end up with a concussed opposing player. This game got out of control, and this is just another example of it.
