yeah I'm not a goalie, so I can get the hell out of the way if that puck comes flying at me...I had to laugh reading the story about the leaf, cuz I know exactly what you mean. You see something and you're like wow it's coming right for me, but instead of moving, you watch it because you're thinking the whole time, it can't hit me...no way...luckily we wear full cages or else, I'd have broken alot more bones in my face... and plus you feel really stupid diving out of the way of something that really wasn't gonna hit you at all, so you stand there just showing everyone, see, I'm not afraid of that silly li- BONK! it's like, ever played baseball and seen a good curveball for the first time? you feel really stupid eating dirt cause you could swear the pitch was coming at your head and meanwhile the umpire is yelling strike three. exactly...you wanna prove that you're not scraed of anything...I do it all the time, and some reason, I always pay for it too...oh well...lol

has anyone noticed the rise in types of cereal with yogurt in them now? It's kind of wierd, in the cupboard here at home we have 3 types...cheerios, life, and total....is yogurt the new hype?

Just so long as you don't play goalie, it's always good advice But not so easy....when I was in school, a hurricane rolled through, and me and my roommates were out on the porch enjoying some brewskis and watching the storm and I swear all four of us watched a single leaf all the way as it came flying in from twenty yards away and conked my friend Dave in the head. it happened yesterday I was skating along the boards and this girl and i just ran into each other really hard, but she was taller than me so I hit my head on her shoulder and then hit the ice and hit my head. I sat there for a min. and then finally got up but instead of going to the bench I went to the net cuz my team had possession of the puck so I was going to the net hard and another girl hit me this time even harder. Next thing I remember i was laying in front of the net and play was still going on. Then I finally got up and as I got up the ref called the penalty on the other girl. I went to the bench, we scored on the PP and the game ended cuz of the mercy rule. The ref skated up to me after the game and was like "hey you alright?" I was like "I'll be ok". and he was like "she tried to tell me that she didn't hit you, but I told her that she didn't hit you so hard that you're neck snapped back" that's when I knew I got hit harder than I thought...but anyhow, hopefully the headaches will stop soon... I've had 2 concussions. Once was a puck to the head. (yes I was watching the puck at all times.... I watched it bean me in the head). I was taken to hospital right away because I passed out cold and didn't wake up right away. Second time I was skating. Fooling around on the ice and my friend and I got our skates tangled up. Bang.. I went down.. Cracked my head on the ice. Not to scare you... everyone is different with this sort of thing.. but I have frequent headaches now. Before the first concussion I could count all of the headaches I've had in my lifetime on 2 hands (I was 24 at the time). And now I get a headache at least once a week. Again.. it's different with everyone. Some people will get a concussion and their headaches will last a week or so. fabulous headaches forever now! YAY! This is the second one that I know I've had, but I'm sure I've had a few minor ones too. I'm just afraid that my coach won't let me play on sat. now. We've got a big game (first round of the playoffs) and I really want to play. So I'm trying to keep it on the downlow about the headaches and stuff...but right now it's real bad... Hopefully they won't last forever... don't push yourself. It's the worst thing you can do. After my first my dr. wouldnt let me work for 2 weeks. You're supposed to rest the brain.. . and unfortunately you need your brain to play hockey... (well unless you're sean avery) ahahahha that was too easy. Feel better yeah I know you gotta rest it, but it's senior year my last playoffs and I probably won't play much after saturday so I've gotta go for it. Otherwise, I'll regret it. I'm thinking that it will have been alittle over a week by then so I'll just practice this week, but not too hard and see what I come up with. If I have to rest my brain, does that mean I can't go to school? Yeah...that would be sweet, but I don't think my parents will fly for that one. so I thought I was going to bed, but here I am...maybe bed this time...I still don't like concussions

so concussions suck....head hurts...going to bed...

wow that's kind of gross...I was like that as a kid though, my mom always pulled it finally with out me knowing... as far as the ex thing, my ex called me on superbowl sunday to see if I wanted to go to a military ball...so I'm going... I'm kind of excited though, anyone ever been to one?

Actually I'm doing just fine. No gas, no getting knocked out, no stitches. Just a shot which numbed the whole left side of my face (hence why I felt like I got punched in the mouth - numbness in my face always makes it feel like its swollen up). And that's worn off. I only had one and have never had the other three, and it was in my upper jaw. According to the doc that's much better than the lower jaw because the upper jaw doesn't move. So I now just have a bottle of 800mg pills. Way more than I'm going to need. No horror stories....the surgery itself could not have taken more than ten minutes. I must be lucky because I had all sorts of people relating all sorts of grisly wisdom tooth tales at me, which is just the thing to do to someone going in for surgery. "Oh, you're getting your liver removed? man, my uncle had that done and he bled from his ribcage! they had to take out his lower intestine and wrap it around his ribs to stop the bleeding! so now he has to sit on the toilet whenever he wants to eat cause it all just goes right through!" I just went to the Dentist on Friday and they told me that I'm going to have to get mine taken out this summer. I'm alittle worried because I had oral surgery (3 times) to get a tooth to come down where it needed to be in my jaw. The tooth was up by my nose and they had to drill through bone to get to it. And none of the novicane (or however you spell it) works on me. It does absolutely nothing! During or right after each of these surgeries I passed out. I don't really remember much, just that I was ok one minute but feeling kind of sick and the next minute I was laying there with an oxygen mask on. It was bad...I blame #91 for one time though. I was listening to the radio and they were like sergei isn't coming back he's signing with Anaheim and the next thing I know I was laying there with that oxygen mask on...so I'm alittle worried about the wisdom teeth thing. Hopefully my boy will be home to take care of me god do I miss him...(don't start up the arguement again... please!)

thanks for the clarity cuz I would have flipped...no not really but you know... on another note, why is it that everytime the phone rings and you get up to get it someone else gets it after the first ring. Whereas when you don't get up until the third ring, no one gets it and then you can't get to the phone in time and the machine or voice mail picks it up. Why is that?

So I must post so I'll tell you all that I'm sick of trying on dresses because I'm going to a navy ball in march and then prom in april...I've been trying on dresses allll day and it's annoying cuz I can't find any that I like. SOOOO FRUSTRATED....

so I looked again grrrrr so I had the worst week this week and I completely forgot today was friday until I got out of school...crazy isn't it?

Art isn't a big e-mail guy and he isn't a big forum/chat room reader. I will talk to him and see if there is any way that I can get a copy then see if I can share it with anyone who wants it. this is what always screws us. Maybe we just shouldn't allow the announcers to mention anything like that in the pregame shows. Because isn't that what happened a few weeks ago against tampa and someone else (my brain is failing right now)?
