Besides siting on the lead at the end of the 2nd...don't you think Hasek looks VERY slow. You can count to 5 before he gets up, and what about laying down everytime the puck comes to the net? I'll wait to see how he plays on the west coast before I say anymore! Even though...we should not be giving up 2 goal leads to any teams...especially division rivals. We looked way to slow, and unorganized at the end of the second/third. Lite the Fires Babcock!

Yzerman was at Notre Dame's Blue/Gold game tonight as a guest speaker. It was pretty nice. He spoke about 10-15 minutes. He was cut short when ND took the ice, and started practicing (He was speaking behind the rink). After speaking he was mobbed by about 400 people looking for autographs (including me)! I was one of the lucky ones...I got my Yzerman Jersey signed on the nine. I couldn't believe how nice he was. He just took his time, and signed the merchadise. Some of the people there were jerks. After Steve signed something they just turned, and walked away. Did not say anything. No thank you, or anything. After he signed my jersey I said thank you Steve, and he looked at me for a second, smiled, and said "...Your Welcome"! I was so mad. Here he has done so much for Detroit, and hockey. All people can do is walk away after he has given his time...he deserves more than that. I really appreciated his time here, and it was an awesome moment in my life to meet one of my favorite idols. His signed jersey will be on my wall forever! I believe Draper is one of the core guys on the team. He comes to play every night, and I would love to see him finish his career here in Detroit. I think the younger guys on the team look up to Draper for guidance. If it were up to me Draper would be wearing the 'C' instead of Nick. Draper deserves the 3 year deal, and the 'C'.

Hasek is really good about giving up those first goals to the rookies. First the guy from Chicago, and now this guy. Chelios is on fire, and Hudler looks pretty good tonight. Datsyuk has done everything,but score. Nice to see Datsyuk and Zetterburg on the same line again. Sucks about Franzen..we really need him...get better soon!

Why would the NHL broadcast a team's home opener on Versus, and not one that team's local affiliate? This is bullsh!t. You can't watch the game on center ice because it is only shown on Versus. The NHL commisioners all smoke crack. If you buy center ice you should get ALL the games. Why should I increase my dish bill another 20 bucks a month just to see a couple Red Wing games in a season? I already give them 150 bucks for center ice. I SHOULD SEE THOSE GAMES ON CENTER ICE--STOP SCREWWING THE FANS. NHL CENTER ICE/VERSUS

yeah, I don't get it. why advertise it if your not going to air it? No one is playing the game tonight. Really getting tired of not getting the preseason game feeds...radio or tv would be nice.

I just went to comcast.com, and they are saying the same thing. They are saying it is out of season...check back when it is in season. Ya know what really ticks me off? How the NFL's preseason is shown all over the place on 5 different channels, and not one channel carries the NHl preseason. Why can't NHL Center Ice start their coverage sooner to include the preseason? Why can't we see all of the action?

Yeah, I just called onto Dish Network, and they guy I talked to said the same thing. This sucks. I would have to hate to change to comcast or direct tv because dish network can't get a deal for center ice.

It's only available online through the center ice site-you have to pay extra to get it, or send in a validation form-What crooks. I take it back center ice. I thought you stepped up, and all we are getting is screwwed on the preseason...again.

I have always liked Lebda...though, I have never said anything. His coast to coast style is awesome! I am partial to him though...I am a Notre Dame fan! I can't remember his plus minus record, but I have never said, "oh crap, Lebda is on the ice!" I have always thought of him as a solid D man.

I think it depends on the situation. If they need goals in a hurry then they will play togather (Note-last game of the conference finals-3rd period goal frenzy). Mostly, I believe Babcock will split them up so they can have 2 powerful scoring lines. Cleary is awesome when he has someone setting him up. Datsyuk and Zetterburg are great at finding the open guy.

Ewwww!, I can't wait for the season to start. Man, our team is going to be awesome! I suppose he will be playing with Cleary, and Franzen. What a punishment line! First they check you, and then they score on you! I really really can't wait for the seaon to start! All we need now is for Hudler to grow 2 inches, and gain 30 pounds! Way to go Holland! I would trade him in a second. Sammy didn't show any passion during the playoffs. He wasn't battling-giving up good chances. He is way to streaky to be cosidered dependable. Myself, I would send him packing.

I can't remember the year, but I saw the wings play buffalo in a preseason game in Detroit. Nothing to report about the game, but we won. One time I saw Detroit in Chicago, also in the preseason. This game was awesome. I remember Thibault had the puck, and he threw it out to his left. Not even noticing Fischer standing behind the goal (Why was he there?). Fischer slammed it into the net. I think there were more wing's fans there cause the whole place erupted in THIBAULT chants!!! it was halarious. I went there with a group of my friends. As we are leaving (walking out in our wing's jearsys) a bunch of black hawk fans started yelling Red Wings suck. We just started yelling Thibault again. Shut them up fast. Definitly my best expirience at a wing's game. Oh, we won that game!
