Datsyuk Signs 7-year, $46.9M Contract Extension

Wooooo Hoooooo!!!!! I was hoping we would sign him. I just didn't think it would have been a deal this huge! Damn, Datsyuk got paid!!!! I have always been a HUGE Datsyuk fan. I think he is worth every penny. Good job Holland!

Boy, I thought this game was a sure win.

    When Lang leaves this summer...

I think Datsyuk will stay, and getting rid of Lang will held fund the Datsyuk deal. Datsyuk will come around this year in the playoffs. I believe we will be looking for a new goalie, and a couple guys on defense. Osgood and hasek are old news. Same as lilja.

Wow! Awesome effort tonight. They looked tight!

    Wings playing it smart

and that's why Babcock benched him for diving with the puck on the doorstep. Yesterday, he was mediocre at best. To me the wings play better, and look more confident in front of Osgood. Hasek looks slow, and tired.

    Wings playing it smart

doesn't really matter. Most teams out there (especially Minnesota) have a goalie that's hot right now, and we know what that has done for us in the past. All we can hope for is everyone coming off of IR, and Hasek stop being streaky. Ozzy has been really good for us as of late. If Hasek doesn't turn around before playoff time I would give the nod to Osgood. IMO, I don't think the wings want to finish in 1st. I think they are affraid of their curse. I think 4th seems just fine to them.

He's lucky I wasn't on the ice. I would have Criss Simoned him right across face.

At least Cheli was the only one who stood up for Lebda...where was everyone else? BALLS WINGS BALLS...GET SOME.

3/24 GDT: St. Louis Blues @ Red Wings, 2:00 PM ET

Hey Wings...why don't you play with some balls in the 2nd. Lebda gets boarded, and then they suck even more. 5 minute power play, and nothing. Time to wake up wings.

Have you seen how they play in front of hasek (for the last couple games)?

3/22 GDT: Blue Jackets @ Red Wings

Why do you think Lang's number is 20? Coinsidence? Just think would happen if his number was...say...120? He would never see a power play that's what!

Way to suck Wings. I hate it when they lose like this. Good to see Cleary back. Datsyuk was awesome tonight. Calder is a badass. Good to see Franzen mucking it up. Lang needs to call it quits. Osgood kept us in it, and looked a ton better than Hasek against the flames. Can't wait till Saturday to see how the wings will torture us again.

Wow, atleast something good came from today. Thanks, I needed that!

After this loss Hasek's goal against average will fall below Brodeur's. I hate to come down on him...after all he did play a pretty good game, but it wasn't quit good enough. We need a brick wall. When our team plays like this Hasek needs to step up. Way to many penelties in this game. the refs have been pretty whistle happy the last few games (with the exception of the last Nashville game).

    Playoff Slogan

'Dying to get out of the first round' Yeah, they wanted to represent to Wings play of late

really getting tired of the slack ass play. How can we show up against Nashville, but not here. I want to know why? this is an easier team to beat than Nashville. their record proves it. I just don't get it. Someone needs to light a fire under Babcock's ass. They play like they don't have any motivation. I want to know why.

what's up with all the penelties, refs? Let them play.

3/14 GDT: Predators @ Red Wings

good luck tonight Wings. I hope you come to the rink p!ssed off, and ready to punish those Predators. I am tired of seeing them cross check, and run our players. I can't wait for Bert to get healthy, but our D stepped up last night. I like how they didn't turn the other cheek when Tootoo was running them. Good job Cheli, Schieder, lebda, lilja, and Kronwall.

3/13 GDT: Red Wings @ Predators

Tootoo is to reckless. One of thse days he is going to run at someone, and they are seriously going to get hurt. I am just glad to see our D stepping up and not taking his crap. Nice hits by Schieder and Lebda. If I had Tootoo coming at me I would make sure he would be busy visiting his local denist over the next couple months.

3/9 GDT: Kings @ Red Wings

why do we always play worse than the last place team when we play the last place team. Bad wings. No pizza and soda after the game.

Lebda won't be suspended for slash on Nichol

We already have. Look at all of our players sidelined. You know Holmstrom is out because of his back, and you know that had to be someone crosschecking him in the back (from the 1,000 times it happens a nite). Hank's back injury. I can remember seeing him being crosschecked in the small of his back. Heck, Mickey even said something about it. Infact I keep watching hoping the guilty individuals who put our injured players on the injury reserve 'get their's'.

    Calder fitting right in

I have always liked Calder. He's a tough girtty forward. Last night (in detroit against chicago) his line with Lang, and the Grand Rapids line where awesome. Couldn't believe the speed, and the grit that was being produced by these two lines. Calder is an awesome acquisition that has been over shadowed by the Bertuzzi trade (IMO). The true tests are coming for Calder on Sunday and Tuesday. I can't wait to smash those punk a$$ b!tches in Nashville. Oh, on a side note Filppula looks pretty good with Datsyuk, and Franzen just looks possessed!
