Green Day! Getting ready for their concert @ MSG next month!

It's too soon. I'm still pissed about the game, and the fact that I've seen penguins every time I turn on my TV since Friday night isn't helping.

Oh, I sympathize. I never liked Elway. Seeing him finally win a Super Bowl pissed me off, too. It reminds me of how I felt after the Yankees choked in the 2004 ALCS. They went up 3-0 on the Red Sox. Game 3 saw the Yanks win 19-8. You think they'd come back out there in Game 4 and win, right? HA! Their offense didn't show up for the next 4 games, and they lost to the Sox in 7. At home. The Sox went on to win the World Series that year, ending their 80+ year championship drought. Knowing that they beat the Yanks to get there was even more painful. My Sox fan friends reminded me of this every chance they got. This was also the season that brought A-Rod to the Yankees. The media around here does NOTHING but fawn over this guy and he's done nothing to help the team. Since A-Fraud came to the Yanks, they've suffered the worst playoff collapse in baseball history, eliminated in the ALDS 3 straight years, and failed to make the playoffs last year. And my family & friends thought I was crazy when I said A-Rod was a jinx. Right now, I'm not sure who I hate more: A-Fraud or Pubic Beard (or Chia Pet, the nickname we gave him during the ECF). Off topic, but best of luck to the Packers next season.

Drinking, fighting back the urge to cry, ordering a new computer, and thinking about my cousin, who turns 8 today. If thinking of that adorable, sweet little girl doesn't cheer me up, then nothing will.

I'm heartbroken and fearing the Cindy!love we'll have to put up with during the off-season and next season. Now I'm going to finish off the rest of the beers in my fridge.

That's when I put my baseball bat through the TV.

Buttman will do everything he can to keep the Cup in Pittsburgh.

And that's when I change the channel.

Unfortunately, I don't live in the Detroit area, so I don't get FSD. I'm stuck with NBC and Versus for Wings games. If I'm employed by next season, I may invest in Center Ice. This is why they invented remote controls and mute buttons. If the Cindy!love starts, I can change the channel or mute the announcers.

If we thought the Cindy love was bad before...wait. The NHL's golden child now has a Cup. They're going to shove this s*** down our throats every chance they get.

Marian Hossa can f*** himself.

Well, that sucked.

One more. One more. One more.

Please tie the game, Wings. Then win it. Don't let Buttman's dreams come true.

Yeah, I've planned a few things, but it's not going to help. The person below me will be drinking tonight.

I do. There are 2 boxes of Batman Band-Aids in my medicine cabinet, and there are no small children in the house. The person below me can't sleep because of Game 7 anxiety.

Win this one for... ...Detroit. The city needs something to celebrate. ...the guys who may not be back next season. Let them leave as champions. ...everyone who said the Wings were too old or slow. This will shut them up. ...Gary Bettman. The look on his face as he hands the Cup to Nicklas Lidstrom and not Cindy Crybaby will be priceless. ...your fans. We don't want to live in a world where Cindy is a Stanley Cup Champion. ....yourselves. You've worked hard all season and you deserve it. (And now I'm going to be selfish) ...my dad, who finally gave up on the Islanders this season and became a Wings fan. (I had nothing to do with that. I swear. ) His birthday is next week, and I'd love to give him a Stanley Cup Champions shirt & hat as a birthday present. ...my mom, who has been putting up with the insanity of my dad and I during the playoffs. ...me, because I want to celebrate, drink, dance, and sing "We Are the Champions". Again.

This is what happens when I try taking pictures of myself. I look homicidal. Before I went to London last fall, I said I wanted a picture in front of Big Ben while wearing my "Big" Ben Roethlisberger jersey. Mission accomplished. (Next time, I'll be wearing my V For Vendetta costume. ) Same vacation. This time, it's me with 2 of my friends from London. They're best friends, who I "met" online a few years ago, and met in person for the first time last year. Catching up on sleep outside the Jacob Javits Center before day 3 of the New York Comic Con in February. I arrived at the convention center around 5am to wait in line for a ticket to a Joss Whedon signing. While looking through my pics, I realized there isn't a single one of me in a Wings shirt or hat. Something must be done about this!

I won't wear anything with a Red Wings logo on game days. Also banned on game days? Red clothing, Wings-related or not. This shirt has been quite lucky throughout the playoffs, and I'll be wearing it for Game 6:
