OMG i LOVE JoeVision! The first time my kids were able to go to the Joe during a hockey game. Since we live near Grand Rapids, they only ever get to experience Griffins games. They were very pleased. It was SO loud there too! I sat in section 107. There was a drunk guy in front of us that kept falling on my daughter. I got hit in the face 3 time by a spiked beach ball. Someone poured beer on my 8 year old son. And I heckled a Penguin Fan. Ahh... it was fun.

I'm Really impressed on how many people are still up... WOOO DALLAS!! This is the first season in a while that we didn't end up on the west coast playing hockey... Though, Colorado did feel the need to start all their games at 8 PM to make the Detroit fans sleepy every morning. Wings in 6. WOOO!

It's hard, but i do it... I can watch later. I wish i had this much willpower to lose weight.. LOL. GO WINGS!!

So yeah... I don't post often, but i have to here. When the playoffs started, I was busy every evening and I missed the first 2 games of the first round. We won both games. Then, unbusy, i was able to watch games 3 and 4 of the first round - both of which we lost and one of those we were winning until i turned on the game to catch the end of the 3rd period... I have not watched a game since and we've won them all... and now this one. So i "watch" the game via the game day thread... Thanks everyone for giving me updates faster than NHL ever could... I'll keep "watching" here too... Oh, i do record the games and watch them later... so its not ALL lost...

I totally agree about ESPN. I turned it off to ESPNews last night right after the game and they didn't have anything about it. I turned it back to FSD and watched Red Wings Live, but then turned it back to ESPNews after that was over and they still hadn't mentioned the Red Wings. About 45 minutes after they won, they showed the "highlights" which included a clip of the slash on F R A N Z E N (i'd like to see Joe Frazier in hockey skates) and they showed Lang's goal, then Franzen's goal. The announcer chick made a witty comment like "Stick in the gut? Stick THIS" and that was all. Even Melrose isn't doing great anymore when they do bring him in. He didn't even believe his beloved "Noodles" should be suspended. i LOVE LOVE LOVE Fox Sports Detroit. They like hockey there WAY more than NBA or MLB. Nothing better anymore than Red Wings Live and Red Wings Weekly. (yes, tigers weekly, pistons weekly and their "live" shows do exist - not that i notice) ESPN blows anymore. They show Roger Federer more than NHL. And God forbid TIger Woods doesn't get a shout out every day.

Overhead on ESPNews: "...And after that save by Hasek, they would need a second overtime. Who wants to be a hero? Who else? Johan Franzen! Stick to the gut? STICK THIS! The Red Wings move on to the second round, the Flames go home." I hope Calgary's stickwork is as good on the golf course as it is on the ice. I don't think Iginla will appreciate McLellan slashing him in the gut when he gets a double bogey.

*Sigh* I can't sleep. It's 2:33 AM and I keep seeing Lang's face when he scored, yelling "f***IN RIGHT!" I LOVE hockey.
