Like many of you on this thread I have also elected not to renew my season tickets for this year. If any of you get offered Sect 218B Row 7 those were mine I ended up going to way more games than I planned on and when I was able to sell tickets I usually had to let them go for $10-25 below face value. The playoffs were even worse. With so many of you receiving notifications for season tickets after waiting only 1 or 2 years (I waited 7 years) I have no doubt that there will be plenty of good seats available for most single games.

I probably really started following them when Jacques Demers took over as coach in the mid-80's.

So I was hopeful this season that the Wings would offer more than a measly 2% discount to season ticket holders that paid off their balance up front. For a $4800 balance that doesn't even amount to 1 pair of tickets!!! That and you still have to pay full price for the exhibition garbage. Add my two seats to the pile of season ticket holders that are NOT renewing. I'll still support the team and buy tickets for 3-5 games this year but its impossible for us common folk to remain season ticket holders.

Ummm this is actually worse than last year's schedule because we played the Leafs AND Sens at HOME last season.

Agreed. The Wings regular season ticket prices are actually pretty good when you compare them to what some other teams charge. The playoffs are another story. I won't be buying any playoff rounds if tickets are as much as last year. I wonder what these 'benefits' are that were mentioned in the letter. My guess is they will bring back JoeBucks.

No. Not after that disappearance last postseason. I really expected more from him.

Just seemed like he lost nearly every key faceoff late in the tight games. I really wanted him to do well here but for whatever reason it just didn't work out.

Everyone is panicing like we just lost the heart of our team. Bert is not an enforcer, is a defensive liability while on the ice and was probably asking for WAY to much.

He did score the one big goal against San Jose, but I have to disagree with you on the faceoffs. I thought he was horrendous on the draw during the playoffs.

Dammit, this means I still have to see him play against us 8 times next season.

With Schneider leaving for La-La land the next best options were Souray and Rafalski. Of those two Rafalski has been much more consistent over his career. The price tag is a little worrisome but like several of you brought up, in a few years it may look like a cheap price. Plus Cheli will definitely be done after this season and Nick probably has 2 seasons left. Lets see how he meshes into Babcock's system.

From what I've heard Treet is better than Spam.

I would have preferred a 2 year deal with a club option for the 3rd but all in all its a pretty fair deal. We didn't break the bank and we have a gritty player that knows his role and won't ***** about not getting more ice time. Plus so many of you forget that players get injured all season long. I'd rather have a Kirk Maltby to plug into the lineup than some AHL journeyman.

I'll wait for the organization to send me my season ticket renewal form. If the prices increase I'll be dropping my tickets. If prices stay the same or decrease I'll keep them. But I definitely won't be purchasing playoff tickets again until they start giving the season ticket holders some incentive or break on the price.

I made it to 3 games this postseason. Round 2, Games 1 and 2. Round 3, Game 1 Without a doubt the best moment was Datsyuk's game winner against the Sharks. I think everyone in the arena was high-fiving after that goal.

Homer is the freak'in man! Up 4 nil he has every reason to skip the last 20 minutes but here he is back on the ice. What an old school hockey player.

Tough pick...I really like both teams here. Gonna go with Ottawa just because I don't want to see the 'Buffaslug' jerseys in a Stanley Cup Finals game.
