Great battle between Orr and Boulton tonight. It was tiring just watching it. Orr was more active but Boulton landed the bigger shots. Darcey Tucker and Derek Dorsett also had a pretty good scrap. Dorsett looks like last years version of Boll.

King will be out for quite some time for shoulder surgery so they plucked David Koci off waivers. Must not have been comfortable with just having Jansen.

Washington defeats Atlanta on Friday

Because Downey and his 3 minutes of ice time 'kept the flies off' our players.

Sorry dude...Unless something is missing from the beginning of the scrap, I don't see how you can say McCarty dominated. Nothing more than a hugfest.

Sweet! We got the St. Patty's day home game back on the schedule this season. Tue Mar 17, 2009 Flyers Red Wings 7:30 PM ET

He was one of the forum's whipping boys for most of the regular season who really stepped his game up in time for the postseason. Provided alot of little things that didn't show up on the scoresheet during the playoffs. Way to go out on top.
-
That is EXACTLY what I said after I just now saw this news! I am soooo surprised he took a one year deal.
-
I don't see how Bert is a replacement for Drake. You sure as hell won't see him on the penalty kill or on our top checking line. Plus he will come about $3mil over the 650k that Drake made last season. No Thanks.
-
While Howard hasn't been bad down in Grand Rapids I don't think his play has warranted just handing him the backup job.
-
The goaltending carousel continues in Washington.
-
If history is any indicator I'd say its the Rangers offering $10mil.
-
Didn't Foote get a similar deal? Stuart is 6 years younger than Footer.
-
If you picked him up before he cleared waivers then yes, any team foolish enough would be on the hook for $4mil next season. He will clear waivers and probably sign a 1 year deal somewhere in the 2-3 million range.
-
I'd rather see DMac get the 2-way contract. Postseason experience was just about the only reason he played over Downey in the playoffs. His diminished skills were exposed in his 4 penalty game against Dallas.
