Did anyone raise their eyebrows at this Bettman quote? "And we did it notwithstanding that this is likely to be the third year in a row with record attendance and the fact that divisional games are better attended than any others we did want to be responsive to the fans." 3rd year in a row with record attendance? Divisional games well attended? I might buy that for the Northeast division but not across the league.

You will need those 2 1/2 hours. By the time you get your luggage and rental car and drive to the game you will only have time for a quick bite. Hockeytown Cafe is great atmosphere but you will not get your food quickly, so unless you get there over an hour before gametime I'd avoid it until after the game for a drink. I would suggest parking somewhere near Greektown, there are lots of food choices in that area. Many of the restaurants and bars have free shuttles to the Joe, or you could always take the People Mover.

Still a little early to call him a complete bust for the season, but he's definitely heading in that direction. I've said all along that I'm glad we didn't re-sign him to that kind of contract.

Those $9 seats can only be bought at the Joe Louis Arena box office. To my knowledge you can't get them through ticketmaster.

3/10 here too!! Lost all three shootout games.

I think all the previous responses sum up my feelings on this. Mr. Hockey is entitled to live off of more than his social security check so let him make what he can.

Yeah, games on back-to-back nights is the only reason Ozzie wasn't in tonight. You never sit someone after posting a shutout but Chris isn't exactly a youngster anymore either so I think Babs handled it correctly.

Drake's experience makes him more versatile but his performance to this point has been a little disappointing. Downey is bringing more energy when he plays and it seems to give the rest of the team a bit of a boost so I have to agree with the OP.

Generally 109/209 - 120/220 will have you inside the blueline of the side the Wings attack in the 1st and 3rd periods. OT and shootouts also have the Wings shooting on this side.

That was one entertaining game. What a great OT and an extended shootout for a bonus. Picked up a much needed 2 points and hopefully his shootout winner gets Mule going.

OK...so maybe I was just going based on his stat sheet. More career goals...just quietly went about his business without the drama that came with Lindros. I guess the whole fiasco about him refusing to play for the Nordiques and then how his Dad got involved with Clarke while in Philly just made him look silly at times.

Broadway Street...find parking right on the street or park in the Detroit Opera House garage for $5. Then you can go to the Broadway People Mover station or stop in to the Detroit Beer Co. for a cold one and take the shuttle. Thats kind of been my preferred way for the last couple seasons.

Agree...definitely not a bust but I don't think he deserves to be in the HOF. His old Philly linemate John LeClair would get my vote before Big E.

I personally like the whites better for home games....the way it used to be pre-lockout.

Absolutely. And those teams will play Atlanta 8x and inflate their win totals. Though I do have to say Carolina doesn't look too shabby so far.
