Alright I know it's easy to blame the goalie.... and it's easy to push the panic button in these situations. I'm not panicking, just clarifying that somethings need to change. 1) Dom needs to stop his god damn antics. WTF was the point in swinging his stick at Iginla? It cost us a goal and a 5 on 3. 2) Dom needs to steal a game. He needs to play like the dominator that we all know he can play like. We saw it in 02, and we've seen it this season too. You need your goalie to steal games for u in the playoffs like Kipper has and like lots of goalie have. If these things change, the wings will win the series IMO.

Heart is diving to block shots, something the wings clearly do not know how to do. Calgary and it seems every other canadian team will dive head first to block a shot if they have to. Flip has heart and so does cleary. Hudler also has heart but hes still in the god damn press box.

I am in no way a Lidstrom hater or anything like that, I like him just fine, but he really blew it on those last two goals. Bad outlet pass to Hank, then got beat by Iggy. I'm not too worried about this loss though, I think we will come back strong in game 4. I mean if we only lose by 1 when Lids plays like poop then we should be able to take the rest down with Lids playin great as usual.

How do you guys feel about having Sammy back on the poin on the powerplay? Personally I think he is awful back tehre and Willy was much better.... at least Willy had a cannon of a slapper. Sammy just takes his fluttter wrist shot to the goalies chest. Why doesn babs just play schneids and lids?

hahaha a one day contract!!! are you kidding me? there is absolutely no way that holland would sign a one day contract for anyone led alone mccarty. If mccarty was a hall of famer like jerry rice then maybe he would consider it but cmon now is darren mccarty. I never liked him that much and always felt he was overrated... but I do respect him. The fact is that 97 was his prime, and he didnt do much after that. 97 was also ten years ago, and it is past his time. I don't feel sorry for him though, he's made millions of dollars and has had a good career. As for feeling sorry for him for going bankrupt.... boo freaking whoo man... the guy blew millions of dollars gambling, its called money management.

I have a number of concerns going into the playoffs that I was wondering if any of you are sharing with me. 1) We have a great team, but have they played together long enough? I really wish Kenny would have made the Calder deal in the beginning of the season for the team chemistry. Bert hasn't played much either and we have not had the entire team healthy yet. Have they even put together our 2nd line w/ bert calder and lang with z being out? I dont think so but I'm not sure. I am concernted we might not have the team chemistry that we usually have going into the playoffs. 2) We're playing a canadian team in the first round. I hate playing canadian teams because of a. the travel and b. the fans are crazy. Playing in Calgary will be very tough, especially because they're so good at home. Their fans will be going nuts and will try to rally their team. Things to be happy about going into the playoffs... 1) It looks like everyone will be healthy and ready to go for Game 1. Thats a good sign. 2) It also seems that Nashville is going to play the Sharks in the first round. This is gonna be one hell of a series and I can't wait to see it. Also, this means one powerhouse team in the west will get knocked out in the first round. I'm rootin for the preds personally, but only cuz we're 6-1-1 against them I don't really know what the point of this post was, I guess I'm just bored but im excited playoffs are coming!

this deal is terrible. I like Holland and this renegotiating contract stuff is something that he shines in, but not today. Why the hell would we play the waiting game with Dats if we're just going to give him 6.75 in the end. Holland is well known for his largely incentive based contracts, and I can not believe that he would not make playoff performance an incentive in this contract. Also 7 years!? WTF? I would have much rather let Dats walk and signed Chris Drury or Daniel Briere. How the hell are we supposed to sign Z, Bert, and Calder now? Like I said, I usually like Holland and his deal, but this one is very very bad. The plus side is dats is a good player and we have him for a very long time. Sadly, the lenght is also one of the downsides.

I just thought about this because someone mentioned it... what if Kenny fired babs and hired scotty, just for the playoffs...

I don't have any stats to back me up but it sure as hell feels like it. I love watching shootouts but when the wings enter one you know we're going to lose. I don't understand it, we have solid shooters, and a solid tender, yet we always choke in them! Oh well, at least theres no shootouts in the playoffs eh!?!?
