ok nabokov is far better than both osgood and legace. he is also younger. if he was placed on a good team like detroit, he would shine.
-
to buffalo: hudler, osgood, 2nd round pick to detroit: biron, numminen buffalo wants to get rid of biron, osgood is cheap and will serve as mentor to ryan miller. what do you think? i have feeling nn and barnesy wont like it
-
neely you lie you have no friends show me a link and ill believe you until then its a lie
-
if not luongo, then nobokov
-
let osgood AND legace's contracts expire and pick up luongo and have howard back him up next year
-
im not trying 2 sound stupid here but what is up w/ him why hasnt he been called up? he is 2nd in points in grand rapids so why isnt he getting a look?
-
williams and mowers for witt. trade williams while his value is still high for i think that he is not as good as his stats say he is. as for the ovechkin trade, keep dreaming.

What prospects will make the Wings Next year?
hckypete96 replied to ufcredwingfan's topic in Prospects
i know you said not to make free agent predictions buuut im makin one so sorry zets (he will also becaptain) datsyuk grigs shanny (will be back for 2 years i think) j will (for a decent price) sammy malts drapes bootland kopecky franzen holmer schneids lids kronwall x1 lilja lebda goalies x2 howard x1=most likely witt but if not witt than a big dman that is solid and hopefully not too old, maybe some1 like eric brewer. i believe we will acquire this dman by trading away lang and hudler. lang has been rumored to be on the block and as much as i love hudler his stock is high right now and who knows if he will flop in the nhl or not. babcock also does not seem too keen on hudler, so i figure he will not be here long. i predict this trade to happen before the deadline this season. if this trade doesnt happen, then they will aquire one in the offseason im sure. x2= either luongo or nabokov. holland always goes out and gets the best goalie on the market, and if the red wings do not win the cup this season he will for sure nab one of these guys. luongo has already said that he would take a pay cut to play for a winning team (whatup detroit!?) and nabokov would not be as expensive as luongo. i do not feel that this youth movement will be as big as most of you think it will be because you need to look at what detroit has done in the past. they have always been about winning now, not later and although i feel the youth movement needs 2 happen now, i doubt it will. if it does happen, it certainly won't be as drastic as most of you would like it to be. -
ha that wasnt a rumor vk16

meh nn i was bored and the idea came to me. i figured u would like it tho /

yes they do, miller is young and osgood will serve as a cheap mentor to him.

lang for barrett jackman of st. louis. do you think the blues would do it? i think that this trade would benefit both teams, langs payroll could be a bit of a problem though. also i am uncertain of jackmans, but oh well its just for fun. do you think it could happen?
-
this team needs some dirty players. jackman is a great young defenseman and will be good for years to come.
-
eva unit zero- great post. i would not mind having brewer on the team, considering he is 10x better than our d excluding lids and schneids. i mean the trade still probably wouldnt happen, but hypothetically, its god like.
-
are you kidding me? how would that hurt the wings? it would give them a third dman w/ physically presence that they despreatly need. sure, they would lose lang, but they wings are so strong at the center position that they could easily make up for it by either calling up hudler or moving zets or yzerman to the center position.
-
how about lang for.... -ryan smyth? -chris pronger (doubtful but we can dream!) -mike peca (having a terrible season, but he may just need a change of scenery) -ohland
-
ok before yelling at me, this is a hypothetical trade. answer these questions 1) would vancouver accept it? 2) would the wings offer it? 3) who would benefit more and why? red wings trade: brendan shannahan, chris osgood, and hudler for vancouver: todd bertuzzi canucks need a solid tender, maybe osgood just needs a change of scenery to get er goin again. i know what people will say, but why trade shanny now? he's doing amazing! look at then numbers folks 18g 16a 37p 36 years old. bertuzzi 9g 18a 27p 31 years old. shanny isn't going to get any better than this, next season he will stop putting up good numbers. bertuzzi has al ot more time left, plust is a great power forward. both arent afraid to drop the gloves. what do you guys think?

howard for ryan miller? both young both god like. i just like miller more, and so did the sabres until he got hurt. thoughts?

i just saw him play v.s. bowling green @ bg and i must say i was not impressed. for a 2nd round draft pick for the wings i did not see why he was drafted so high. i mean i know he is a hometown boy and was mr. hockey but he just did not impress me. he is a power forward though so that will help us in the long run.
