What's sad is that I don't think the Wings play deserving of being tied. It is has been a hell of an improvement from lately and the offense is amazing.

Something I have noticed is that when a opposing player is going one on one versus Lidstrom, he 95% of the time just dumps it in. Rarely do you see a player try to do moves around him. Players are scared of him. Not in the typical physical way, but because they know that if they try to take Lidstrom on, they won't get around him.

That's ridiculous. Leino has been very strong and putting up points. I could think of 3 guys who I would bench before I would scratch Leino. I am sure Babcock has good reasoning, but I am just not seeing it.

I did that last month. What an amazing deal. The seats were center ice and 5th row in the upper bowl. And for some reason, even though I purchased two tickets, I received 4, lol. So it was nice not have anyone sitting next to me.

I absolutely agree it was a penalty. But five minutes? Come on. There was nothing intentionally malicious about it. Honestly, I can't recall the last time I saw a five minute game misconduct for hitting from behind (maybe Draper years ago, I think). That is something that I see on a daily basis in the CCHA, but not the NHL. If Lilja is suspended it would be a joke. The guy has no history of such and it wasn't particuarly dirty.

Agree. I thought Cheli looked strong, especially compared to Kronwall and Rafalski.

On a weird side, it was nice to see the Wings not deserve to win and somehow pull one out. Usually it is the wings who deserve to win and somehow the other team wins.
